CARA'S POV:

As I laid wide awake, I turned my head to find my alarm clock, the time reading 2:43am.
I have been waiting for my sisters to return home, although there was still no sign of either of them.
Ethan and his mum left hours ago even though they insisted they stayed with me, I told them my sisters would be home with in the hour when really I hadn't been able to get hold of them at all and didn't know when they would be returning.
I was really starting to worry as I continued to toss and turn in my sheets, checking the time continuously, the numbers never seeming to change fast enough.
My head was spinning with thoughts but none in which really making much sense at all.

As I continued to toss and turn, my stomach made an awful gurgling sound. I hadn't realised but as I had been so caught up in all this suff with mum and Jakob I hadn't actually eaten a proper meal since sleeping at Ethan's. As I snuggled back into my sheets I tried to push the thought of food aside but as I continued to lay in silence, the same exact sound was heard. This time using all my strength I pulled my self up until I was sitting on the edge of my bed with my feet dangling off the side. As I moved my feet to the floor a chill was felt up my body causing my legs to shake before I continued walking out of my room and down the cold stairs. The closer I got to the kitchen the more I could feel a pain in my stomach coming about, clearly from not eating.

I then entered the kitchen, switched on the light and began to rummage through the pantry until I found bread and honey. I then grabbed a banana off the counter top and cutting board.

Once I had finished making my banana sandwich I put everything away before making my way back up stairs with my plate in hand. On the way up I heard something which sounded like a car door close. I then stopped in my tracks and slowly walked back down trying not to make a noise. As carefully as I could I peeked through the window in the front room to find Zac, the boy from across the road pull into the driveway, stumbling a little as he got out of the car with two other guys.
Obviously not my sisters in the end.
Sighing from relief that it was no one who would cause trouble.
I continued to make my way back upstairs, quieter now then before.
I began taking bites of my sandwich as I neared closer to my room, stopping to turn a light off in the bathroom on the way.

Soon after I had eaten I found myself falling tired so before I let myself doze off, I pulled myself up out of bed once again to clean my teeth and wash my face.

As soon as I got back to my room sleep took over me. Feeling as though I had slept for only 20 mins I had really been asleep for hours before I was woken by the door bell.

I tiredly peeled myself out of bed and slowly opened my curtains to see who was out the front. As I did so the bright light shone through the window and I immediately shut my eyes to avoid the stinging.
My eyes soon adjusted and I noticed a car to be parked in our driveway. I couldn't work who's it was but I could see a young girl standing next to it so I didn't see the harm in opening the door.
Once I was down stairs I walked to the front and slowly opened the door to find Leo, Jakob's dad.

"Hi Mr Delgado", I said slightly standing behind the door to hide my pyjamas.

"Morning Cara, I have come to pick you up.", he said before signalling to the car.

"Oh um are we going to the hospital?", I asked confused.

"No, well we can later but I have talked with your grandparents and your father and they agreed it would all be better if you came to stay with us while your mums in hospital, just so your comfortable and all."

Maybe there was a harm in opening the door. I had to now live, see and breathe the same air as Jakob 24/7, a few weeks ago this would of been a dream but now not so much. How was I supposed to say I didn't want to stay there? There was no way out.

"Cara?", he questioned, snapping me out of my gaze.

"Sorry.", I paused for a short moment "um ok. Should I go get my stuff?"

"Sure, I will be waiting here with Mikaila."

So that was the girl by the car waiting.

"Ok", I slowly let out. "What about my sisters?", I added quickly. "and you talked to dad?"

My dad has been away on business for only a few days and of course while he was gone something major like this had to happen.

"Your sisters are staying at your grandparents house but we all thought that maybe being with Jakob would make you more comfortable."

"I think anything would be more comfortable then staying under the same roof as Jakob", I said under my breath not realising I had said it aloud, lucky for me I don't think he heard.

"Also your dad said he had been trying to call the home phone yesterday morning when you were at the hospital so because he couldn't get hold of you, he called me and arranged for you to stay at our house." he continued.

"Oh ok..", I softly said back before turning on my heels and making me way up the stairs. "Thank you Leo, I will be back in a sec."

As I got into my room I grabbed out my black nike sports and began packing. I wasn't really sure how long I was going to be staying for there for so I just decided to pack a few pairs of jeans, a couple shirts and a few other bits of clothing.
Once I had done that I put aside a pair of black jeans and a cropped khaki jumper to change into, which I did.
I wasn't sure how to feel about staying at Jakob's because obviously I didn't want to see Jakob but then again did I?
If all goes bad at least I know I have Mikaila there as well as Ethan to always call up.

I then grabbed my last few things like my phone charger, laptop and toiletries before making my back downstairs.

"Ready?", Leo questioned.

"Ready."
