Chapter 7 - Rainy Days

I woke up to the sound of the door screeching and light footsteps. As I opened my eyes slowly I noticed a blurred figure, I rubbed my eyes and was shocked to see Ethan already here.

"Shit what time is it?!" I said sitting myself rather fast.

"Calm down we are early, Mum is helping Bianca with her ball dress remember?"

I nod as I let myself fall back onto my mattresses relieved. Ethan's mum was always good with sewing and stuff like that so she was helping alter Bianca's dress.

"But you do realise we are going in like 5 minutes right?"

"Fuck" I said pulling my self up before making my way into the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair. I then picked out a t-shirt dress and some socks as I told Ethan to wait outside my room. I quickly got changed and applied some makeup before making my way outside the door.

As I made my way through the house I quickly grabbed my shoes and slipped them on before walking to the car. On the way to Jakob's me and Ethan just messed around whilst blasting music in the back until we got to there.

When we had arrived I thanked Ethan's mum and made my way to the front door. Ethan then knocked and soon enough the door flung open.

"Morning guys" Chris said as he signalled us to come in.

As we made our way into the lounge room I saw some tanned legs appear from the stairs, It was Jakob and may I add he was shirtless. I noticed his hair was wet as it dripped right through the house and he still had his towel over his shoulder.

"a boys got to shower" he said laughing slightly.

He then greeted Ethan before pulling me into a warm hug and kissing me softly on my cheek, his body pressed up against mine.

"ooo", Chris said glaring at us.

"oh shut up" Jakob replied still holding me tight. He was so warm and I never wanted him to let go.

We all then sat down in front of the tv and waited for Jakob to grab a shirt from the laundry. As we were flicking through the channels when Mikala appeared with a few friends following close behind her. When she saw me she quickly leaned her guitar case on the couch and ran to give me a hug. Mikala and I had always been close as when I was over we often talked heaps and told each other pretty much everything.

"CARAA!" she squealed as she squeezed me tightly. "please tell me you will be staying over tonight?"

"not sure whys that?" I respond smiling and slightly giggling.

"got some news and we are well overdue for a gossip session" she laughed and walked back over to her friends.

Just as she said that Jakob walked in, putting on a white t-shirt. "and may I be involved in this 'gossip session' I hear of?" he said smirking at me and Mikala.

"haha your so funny Jakob." Mikala replied sarcastically as she poked her tongue out at him.

"anyways were off to practice." Mikala said as she smiled at me and the boys. Mikala was also in a band like Jakob and they were practicing heaps lately for an upcoming festival that they were performing in.

I waved and smiled as they made their way to the front door.

Jakob then sat down next to me and put his arm around my neck. "so what are thinking of doing today?" he said as she rubbed his knuckles on my head making my hair go everywhere. He often did this as a joke almost like play fighting, I then pulled my head up lightly tapping on Jakob's chest "your so mean" I said as I could see Chris and Ethan's eyes were now fixed on us.

"Anyways.." I said unlocking my eyes from Jakobs gaze. "What were you boys thinking?"

"well Jakob's soccer game starts at 4ish so we have until then" Ethan said as he put the tv remote down.

"We could go grab some lunch or just go to the park now and then come back and chill for a bit before going to Jakob's soccer?" Chis said slightly tilting his head.

"sounds good to me, is that cool with everyone?" Jakob replied jumping up.

"yep", Ethan and I both said in unison.

We then all got our shoes on and walked outside. Jakob then locked the door and we started to make our way up the road when it started pelting down with rain. We all then ran for cover as the rain started to get heavier. Just our luck that it would start raining now. As the rain picked up the cooler and harsher the breeze got, my arms and legs were now shaking and my lips and teeth began to chatter. Jakob could then see that I was cold as opened out his arms for a hug. He then rubbed his hands up and down my back placing his lips on my bare collar bone. Soon enough he pulled away and began taking off his jumper.

"Jakob put that back on, you must be freezing." I said as I rubbed my arm with my hand.

"I will be fine, I'm not even that cold besides you need it more than me" he said as he placed his jumper over my head.

"Jakob please you wear it."

"Cara I am fine, as I said I'm not even that cold."

I could tell he was lying but he wouldn't give in. He then placed his arms around me once again. "your still so cold" he paused for a split second as his eyes widened, "maybe this will make you feel better" as he said this he placed his soft warm hands on my face and placed his lips on mine. I felt no longer cold as his kiss became more passionate as it went on. I was now stroking my fingers through his hair and his right hand still placed on the side of my face and the other making its way down to my waist. When our lips parted Jakob's eyes were staring right into mine, we were locked in a gaze as Jakob then bit his lip causing me to blush.

"Warmer?" Jakob said as his soft breath was felt up against my neck.

"Warmer." I replied as Jakob moved the hair from my face and wrapped it behind my ear.

I had totally forgotten Ethan and Chris were there and I think it will take me a while to think this is normal to do that in front of them. Maybe it will never feel normal because it isn't?

Still so many questions circling my head but I try to push them aside for the moment as the the rain started to go down, we then decide to just go back to Jakobs as Ethan didn't want to catch a cold.

"So much for lunch and the park" Jakob said as he turned to me laughing a little, still being able to hear Ethan and Chris's soft giggles coming from behind me.

"Immature" Jakob then said still laughing and shaking his head as his hands interlocked with mine and my head now beginning to rest on his shoulder.

As we got closer to Jakobs house he become fidgety and he started stroking his hair alot.

"everything alright?" I ask him gripping his hand tighter.

"everything fine. why wouldn't it be?" he replied as he was still continuing to stroke his hair.

I knew Jakob too well to know what was going on. He was nervous. I then stopped him in his tracks moving my head closer to his. "you will do great tonight promise." I then placed a soft kiss on his cheek and a smile instantly emerged on his face.

"you know me too well don't you." he replied grabbing my wrist placing two little kisses on my back hand.

"maybe I do, maybe I don't"

Jakob's smile then turned into a smirk as he grabbed my waist and pulled me in. "cutie"
