Chapter 2 - Just Another Girl

CARAS POV:

After the movies we did a bit of looking around and grabbed some lunch before making our way home.

When we got home mum was starting to make dinner and invited the boys to stay over for the night. They all agreed and ran up stairs to get all the beds set up. Bianca and Claire my sisters were also having someone over so they had stolen one of the mattresses leaving only 3 for us. We just brushed it off and said we would work it out later tonight. By the time we had moved all the mattresses down stairs and made up the beds it was time for dinner. Dad was away so mum let us have tacos "If dad asks we had Lasagne" mum said chuckling as she kissed me on the cheek handing me the plates. Soon after we had finished so we decided to go lay down and watch some tv to pass time. Mum had just taken Bianca, Claire and their friend to a party so we had the whole house to ourselves for about an hour as the party was in the middle of nowhere like usual.

Ethan and Chris soon got bored of this and decided to go get the playstation from upstairs. While they were gone Jakob sat a little closer to me as I laid by head on his chest and hugged him tightly. Our bond was so strong that it wasn't odd to do this at all. As we were lying down Jakob started to run his fingers through my hair and kissed me on the forehead. I looked up and our eyes met, we looked at each other a way that we had never looked at each other before as Jakob slowly bit his bottom lip and moved his eyes from mine down past my noes and started to look down at my lips. I didn't know what to do as Jakob grabbed my face and pulled me in closer. I leaned in and that's when our lips met. His lips were so soft up against mine and I had never felt anything like this before. We then suddenly pulled away as we heard Ethan call out from up stairs "Got it guys!" I quickly moved away from Jakob and tried to avoid any more eye contact with him as I didn't know why he had just done that but then again why had I?

As Ethan and Chris played video games I could feel Jakob slowly move his hand onto mine. At this point I couldn't keep avoiding eye contact, as I slowly lifted my head up I could see Jakob looking at the tv smiling and laughing at Chris. He was so calm about it all but I guess he would be because he had probably done this with a thousand other girls. I quickly moved my hand away from his and ran as quickly as I could up the stairs. Ethan then dropped his controller and began to follow behind me to see what was wrong when Jakob stopped him. "I will check on her" I could hear Jakob say as I closed my door behind me.

Jakob was my best friend but that didn't mean I agreed with everything he did. He was a bit of a girl magnet and girls were alway throwing themselves at him left right and centre. Ethan, Chris and I sometimes joked about it until we realised Jakob would just use girls then dump them a few days later. Well at least that's what we were hearing from everyone. I jumped onto my bed and laid still until Jakob flung open the door and tried to comfort me.

"Cara I know I shouldn't have kissed you and I know it was wrong but my feelings got the better of me and I couldn't resist." Jakob said as he sat himself down at the end of my bed.

I tried to ignore him but I had to speak up "Jakob honestly I didn't think you would ever stoop this low" I let out as I began to sit up letting my head hang low as I was trying to cover the tears that were slowly trickling down my face. "You have really gone too far this time, honestly Isn't there any more girls throwing themselves at you that you can toy with?" I thought saying this would feel better but it didn't, it actually made me feel worse, I couldn't believe I just said that to him.

As the tears began to come rushing down faster then before I felt Jakob's hand lift my chin up as he wiped my tears away I tried to resist his soft touch as I found it hard to push his hand away but I know I had to. I then turned my head as Jakob let out "Cara you know I'm not like that with girls and I have honestly never felt like this way about anyone else before" For a minute he had me but then the anger started to build up even more. "Your a liar Jakob!" I snap back at him, thinking he would now back down but he wouldn't give up. "Cara why would I risk the most important thing in my life for a stupid hookup session once in a while. When I'm with you I feel something. I'm tired of feeling completely numb. Your special to me and the way you looked at me down stairs is the way I have always wanted you to look at me." Jakob said as he put his hands on my leg. His hands were soft and warm as he moved it up and down my lower leg but soon enough he turned and began to move his hand away but as he did I reached out and held it close.I had thought back to all the times we had spent together and I realised that I had also wanted him to look at me the way that he did. In my heart I was falling for him but in my head I felt like I was looking at a complete stranger before me. I looked into Jakob's big brown eyes as the light from the window hit the side of his soft olive skin I could see the desperation in his eyes as I began to speak "Jakob can you really look me in the eyes and tell me all of those rumours are not true and that you mean everything you said?" I say to him still being draw in by those beautiful eyes. He looked at me the way he had done earlier and re assured me the rumours were all false and that he had really fallen for me. At that moment his Lips seemed to draw me in and I couldn't resist but kiss him right then and there.
