Star's POV- a few days later

Marco isn't talking to me anymore. I guess I really hurt him...

Probably not as much as Jackie would hurt him... yeah... Jackie is the reason for this.

I never told anyone what really happened... and I don't plan om doing that any time soon.

I went to the living room and I saw Marco on the couch. "Marco?" I tried to start the conversation. "What is it?" He coldly asked without looking at me. "I'm sorry." I said and walked closer to him. "Star... its not that I don't want to forgive you... its just... ok, take a plate and break it into a million little pieces, then say sorry to it. Did the plate fix itself?" He asked and looked up at me. "N-no it didn't. .." I said with a sigh. "That's exactly how hearts work." He said and got up. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to the park... I need to get my mind off some things."

As he tried to walk past me, I grabbed his arm. "Marco listen, you're the greatest guy I know... I just can't admot that I love you or else you would get hurt." I said hoping he would catch on. He turned his head and looked me in the eyes. "Why would I get hurt?" He asked me with a sad voice. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you..." I said and I noticed how close he was to me. "Just say it once." He said while holding me by the shoulders.

My head spun a bit and my thoughts clashed. "M-marco I. .." I started, but I knew I could never finish the sentence. "Go on, Star... its easy..." Marco said and put his hand on my cheek. He was irresistible. "Marco, I love you." I finally said with a whisper. "I love you too, Star." He said and smiled at me.

My brain kept telling me I was an idiot. Marco would get hurt and there is nothing I could do about it.

While I was in thought, i didn't notice Marco leaning in. My brain yelled "STOP" but my heart disagreed. I closed my eyes and leaned in too. A few seconds later I felt Marco's warm lips against mine and it felt as if an explosion went off in my stomach. My life makes sense now. I will fight for you, Marco.
