Our new life (last chapter)

Star's P.O.V.

I walked hand in hand with Marco, his eyes were glimmering as I told him the stories of my brave soldiers. "Star, That is the most amazing story you have ever told me!" I smiled and rested my head against his shoulder. "It was the best monster fight of my life, and I had the best reason to give it my all." I whispered and took a hold of Marco's arm.

My mother came to me, a look of sadness in her eyes. "Star, I'm sorry to interrupt you, but your father..." I didn't need to hear the rest. I should've known his injuries were too great. "Mom..." My sentence barely left my lips, my eyes watering beyond my control. I refused to believe it. I saw the dread in Marco's eyes, my mother was crying into her hands.

I sat down on the soft ground and hugged my legs. "Dad..." I knew it was real. I had lost my father forever and I could do nothing about it. Marco wrapped his arms around me and cried with me.

-------A few years later.

I woke up one early morning, the sun glimmering through my curtains. The sweet scent of my breakfast filling my nostrils. "Good morning." I said to myself as I trotted down the hall.

I was greeted by a blushing Marco and a smug looking mom. "Star, we need to have a very important talk." She said with her smile unchanged. I knew what this was about.

"Mom, I'm not ready to take over the throne..." I tried to spare myself. "This is about you and Marco." I could see his face light up. "It would be best if the two of you got married." I blushed deeply and stroked my cheeks. "I don't know, mom." I sat down and poked at my breakfast.

"I don't mind it." Marco said with a friendly smile. "I'd be glad to marry my princess." I blushed three times darker and nodded. "Alright... I'll marry him."

"Good." My mother smiled with her arms crossed. "I want grandkids."

"Mom!" Marco and I yelled out simultaneously.
