I cracked my eyes and the first thing I saw was that the two double doors were open and a nice breeze was hitting my legs. I sat up and stretched, glancing around at my surroundings. Once I realized I was in the most comfortable bed in the world I smiled because I was in Aruba! I grabbed my phone up and checked the time. Damn, it was already eleven o'clock at night.
I slid out the bed and quietly walked into the living room. I saw Nick flipping through channels on the flat screen. I sat next to him and he smiled as he put his arm around me.
"Hey sleepy head."
I sighed. "Why didn't you wake me up? I overslept."
He shrugged. "You seemed peaceful, so I let you have your rest."
I pouted and wrapped my arms around him. "I feel so bad because you wanted to swim."
He grinned at me and kissed me. "It's fine. We can swim tomorrow."
I rolled my eyes. "Stop being so nice to me."
He clicked off the TV and laughed. "Andrea, it's fine really."
I ignored him and stood up. "Let's swim now."
He looked up at me and raised his eyebrows. "Do you really want to?"
I nodded. "Yup. Let's go!"
I went back to the bedroom and grabbed one of my bags. As I dug through it looking for a bikini Nick walked in already in swim trunks. He handed me a towel and nodded his head towards the door.
"I'll be outside."
I smiled at him. "Okay."
He walked out the double doors onto the sand and I went back to my search. I decided on a simple red bikini and went to the bathroom to change. When I was ready I grabbed my towel and slipped it around my waist, then I went outside to search for Nick.
There were a few people on the other side of the beach; but most of them were leaving or just having drinks. I spotted Nick sitting down right by the tide, so I pulled off the towel and ran straight into him, leaping on top of him.
He laughed as he fell back into the sand while I pinned him down by his chest.
"State your name young, handsome man!"
He laughed even harder and his chest and neck became red.
"Nick Carr!"
I tried my best to put on a mean face but I could help the giggles that escaped.
"You've been very bad! So I think it's time for you to walk the plank!"
He raised his eyebrows and smiled. "Oh really?"
I nodded and he easily moved my hands from his chest and squeezed his arms around my waist.
"And what if I don't walk the plank?"
I tried to break free. "Treason! Treason!"
He laughed as he scooped me up and started running towards the ocean. I clutched onto him as he walked deeper out in the water until it was up to his waist. He let me go and I gripped onto his neck.
"Hey! It's dark! I'm scared!"
He smiled. "Oh you aren't so tough now are you?"
I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "I'm tougher on land!"
He grinned and I ran my hand through the ocean water and leaned against him.
"The water is very warm. It feels nice."
