Andrea - POV:

2 weeks later.

Nick had been doing well since Bradley's death and since he quit working for his father. I still don't quite understand his father and their relationship but it really isn't any of my business and I don't want to be pulled into something not understandable. On the bright side me and Nick have been stronger than ever since we got back together even though I'm a little timid around him because of what he used to do with his father.

I've also noticed Nick smokes now. He admitted that he smokes weed and I'm okay with that but sometimes I see him taking pills at random times. I never asked him about it because I didn't want to be "that" girlfriend anymore.

I decided to put it behind me and not question everything because I was happy.

Nick's 25th birthday was today and instead of throwing a big party, or going to a fancy restaurant Nick decided he wanted to cook a simple dinner at his place and spend time with me. I didn't argue with him because spending alone time with him would be wonderful and I wanted to see the look on his face when he saw the gift I got him.

Later on that day we went shopping to get supplies for our at home birthday party.

"What do you want for dinner?" I politely asked Nick as we strolled our way down the aisles.

He shrugged and wrapped his arms around me. "Whatever you want."

I chuckled and pecked his lips. "It's your birthday silly."

He smiled down at me and reached across my shoulder to pick up a box of noodles. "How about spaghetti?"

I nodded and wrapped my arms around him. "Okay, spaghetti it is."

We kissed again and were interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat. I pulled away and looked over to see Christie, with a smirk on her face, standing with Aaron.

I smiled and grabbed ahold of Nick's hand. "Oh hey girl."

She crossed her arms. "Hi."

I knew why she was giving me the cold shoulder and if you were there you could feel the awkward. Nick smiled at Christie and held out his hand for her to shake.

"Wow Christie it's been forever, how are you?"

She glared at him and shrugged. "Fine. Can I talk to Andrea?"

She didn't shake his hand.

Nick frowned and nodded. "Sure."

Christie turned her gaze to me. "Alone."

I sighed as I watched Nick and Aaron head down another aisle while Christie stormed up to me. "Hello! Why were you kissing him!"

I rolled my eyes, grabbed the box of spaghetti noodles Nick wanted and then tossed them in the cart. "Because he's my boyfriend."

Her eyes widened. "Wait what!"

I ignored her and made my way down the aisle, grabbing a can of spaghetti sauce. "He's my boyfriend Christie, okay?"

Christie put her arm out in front of me and blocked me from walking any further. "Since when! I thought you guys broke up?! Why didn't you tell me?"

I shrugged. "Because it's not a big deal!"

She frowned and crossed her arms. "It is a big deal. I'm your best friend and you didn't tell me? How did it happen?"

I groaned and rubbed my forehead. "What do you mean how did it happen?"
