Nick - POV:

A few weeks later Andrea and I flew down to Florida to visit her parents over the weekend. I don't know why I asked her so randomly, the question just came out like word vomit. But, I did really like her and I wanted to meet the people who raised her. While in Florida I rented a simple Infiniti Q50 to get us around for the weekend and I literally couldn't get enough of the weather down there, it was wonderful. I guess I've been in New York for too long.

"Remind me to book us a vacation somewhere warm." I said slipping on my sunglasses and peering out at the beaches as we passed by.

Andrea slipped her arm through my free one and smiled. "I would love that."

I smiled back at her and then she pointed to a nearby gas station.

"Take a right over here."

I did as she said and listened to her other directions until we pulled into a neighborhood complex. I drove to the correct address and parked by the mail box. I looked at Andrea to see if this was the right house and she smiled, unbuckling her seat belt.

"Are you nervous?" Andrea asked curiously.

I shook my head. "Not really." Lie.

I was really nervous. I felt my hands sweating as I gripped the steering wheel.

"Well I'm sure they'll love you. But, my dad is very protective just so you know."

I swallowed and nodded, trying to keep cool. "I can handle it."

We both got out and Andrea grabbed my hand, rubbing the back of my palm with her thumb reassuringly. We walked up the driveway and I noticed that there were at least four cars already there. As we got closer to the front door I was becoming more nervous. What if they didn't like me? Holy shit, what if I said something stupid? Andrea knocked on the door and I quickly ran my fingers through my hair and fixed my blazer.

Andrea looked at me and grinned. "You okay?"

I nodded and the door opened. A women in about her early forties who looked very similar to Andrea smiled. She was light skinned, short and petite, with light brown hair and hazel eyes. Her eyes brightened when she saw Andrea and she held her arms out waiting for a hug.

"My babyyyyyy! You're here!"

Andrea hugged the woman and laughed. "Yes mom I'm here."

I stood there awkwardly while they hugged and gushed over how long it's been since they last saw each other. After about a minute or two Andrea looked at me and smiled.

"Oh! Mom this is Nick."

Andrea's mom turned to me and I stuck out my hand shaking her's firmly.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Huffman. Andrea never told me how beautiful you were in person."

Her face flushed and she swatted at the air, waving that off. "Oh stop. You're too kind and please call me Angie."

I smiled back at Angie and she turned towards the door.

"Well c'mon in. Dinners almost ready and Andrea I suggest you get the first plate, you're looking very skinny lately."

Andrea rolled her eyes and then pinched my arm. "Andrea never told me how beautiful you were in person? Smooth."

I laughed and shrugged. "I speak the truth."

As we were walking into the foyer a big football player looking guy walked in pulling Andrea off her feet and into a bear hug.
