When we left the park Nick drove me home and walked me up to my apartment. I stood in front of my door and hugged the polar bear to my chest. "Thank you for tonight. I had so much fun."
He smiled. "Thanks for coming."
I set the bear on the floor and dug in my bag for my keys. When I retrieved them I clutched them in my hand and smiled. "Well I'll see you around."
As I went to unlock the door Nick pulled something out his blazer pocket. "Oh. Don't forget this."
He handed me a roll of pictures from the photo booth at the chicken restaurant. I looked at them and laughed, thinking about how stupid we looked, sticking out our tongues and making dumb faces. I gave him a quick hug and opened the door to my apartment.
"I'll make sure to keep this. Thank you."
He handed me the polar bear and I waved. "See ya."
He returned the wave and grinned. "Bye."
I watched as he walked to his car, and then I closed the door. I smiled at the picture roll again and pinned it on my fridge. I set the polar bear on my couch and then I got ready for bed.

Beep! Beep! Beep!
"Good morning New York, this is Sasha Sash with your seven AM morning radio cast. How is everyone out there? It's an early day so you better click on those coffee machines and get bus-."
I hit the snooze button on my alarm and groaned. I rolled over and peeked out from the sheets. The sun was burning through my drapes and slowly creeping on the floor. I rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up, and when I realized I had to go to work I automatically wanted to lay back down. I could sleep for ten days straight and still be tired. After about ten minutes of contemplating whether or not I should go to work I decided to get in the shower. I couldn't just not show up, I mean I owned the shop and I'm the only one who had a key to open it. When I finished my shower, and my breakfast I headed to work, making sure to stop at Starbucks before hand.

Nick - POV :
I opened my fridge and pulled out a carton of orange juice, filling up the glass I had on the counter. I downed the juice and then I clicked on the mini TV in my kitchen. The news was on and the reporters were describing some horrific scene that had happened a few days ago. I payed no attention to it and began making some scrambled eggs.
The lady reporter kept blabbing on about the scene. "And despite all of the pointing fingers at who did it, sources go back to Mr. Carr one of the biggest business owners here in New York."
I stopped tending my eggs and looked at the screen. The reporter was walking along the sidewalk of CBC (Carr Business Corporations) my dad's work place. I turned up the volume and continued listening.
"Sources say that Carr was involved with the scandal himself and payed his employees to have Mr. Lee killed."
A picture of an Asian man appeared by her head and she continued. "Mr. Lee was supposedly one of Carr's business partners and-"
I didn't want to hear anymore I clicked off the TV and grabbed my cell phone, dialing my dads office number.
"Hello, this is CBC how may I help you?"
I dumped my eggs on a plate, scarfed some down and sighed. "Hey Jena. It's me, Nick. May I speak to my father?"
Her voice brightened finding out it was me. "Oh hello Nick how are you?"
I rolled my eyes, this is exactly why I hated calling his office. Even though I didn't want a full blown out conversation I didn't want to be rude, so I answered her question. "I'm doing good Jena. How are you?"
