Nick and I woke up early the next morning to start off our day right. The weather was hot, humid and windy...but perfect. I decided to wear something to fit the weather, so I ended up with some white booty shorts, a baby blue tank top along with a pair of black flip flops. Nick bought us a big breakfast, which we devoured and then we set off to the main part of Oranjestad.
It was really interesting to see all the cultures and languages in Aruba. These people mainly spoke Dutch, Papiamento and Spanish which made it very hard for me to communicate. Nick on the other hand is very skilled in speaking languages other than English; and it turns out he can speak three: French, Spanish and Italian. I asked him how he managed to master three different languages and he told me the private schools he attended as a kid enforced that each student study at least three.
It could literally take about an hour to travel the whole island because it really wasn't that big. It was just like every other place in the world, there was a fancy upper-class part, and a not so fancy lower-class part. There really wasn't any quality technology either out here and seeing how most of them lived made me appreciate what I had back home.
As we were driving down the confusing streets that had the weirdest road signs I made Nick stop at some nearby road side markets that had cute items on sale. Nick parked the rented car he purchased in a secluded parking spot and then we made our way to the stands. I stopped at the nearest one that had vintage Aruba swimsuits and cover-ups. I ran my fingers across a floral beaded bikini and a Cuban looking women came up to me.
I smiled at her and showed her the bikini. "I love this. How much for it?"
She looked confused and shook her head at me. "You like?"
I nodded. "Yes. Very much. How much for it?"
She stared at me like I was crazy and then I felt Nick's hands on my waist. He smiled sweetly at the woman and pointed to the bikini.
"Cuánto para el bikini?"
The lady looked at the swimsuit and back at Nick. "Treinta dólares."
He looked down at me and grinned. "It's thirty dollars."
I handed the woman the bikini. "I'll take it." She walked over to her tiny cash register and I followed, pulling out my wallet. I got out a fifty dollar bill ready to pay, but Nick shook his head and pulled out his wallet.
"Everything is on me."
I rolled my eyes and pushed his wallet ready hands out the way. "That's not necessary. You've done enough of the paying, I can afford it."
He sighed and I handed the woman the money and she handed me my change and my bikini-that was now in a cute Aruba bag. I smiled at her. "Gracias."
She nodded her head and Nick grabbed my hand and pulled me to the other little stands. After about an hour I had bought a few vintage beaded bracelets, an I love Aruba shirt, and the most adorable turtle keychain. Afterwards, Nick took me for lunch because we both were practically starving, and then we went back to beach house for a little bit of swimming.

"Checkmate."
I looked down at the chess board and frowned as I watched Nick set his king on my side of the board. I shook my head, he couldn't have won again. I looked over the board making sure he didn't make an error. He watched as I scanned the board and then he began laughing. "Baby, get over it. I won again."
I rolled my eyes and knocked the pieces over. "Cheater."
He held up his hands and chuckled. "Don't be a sore loser baby."
I got up from the beach table and stomped back into the house heading into the living room. I rested on the plush couch and Nick rumbled through the kitchen, still chuckling.
"You're being a baby," he said as he plopped next to me on the couch unscrewing the cap from a water bottle. I crossed my arms and stared at the black TV screen puffing air out of my nostrils. Nick set his water bottle on the coffee table in front of us and looked at me with a stupid grin on his face.
"Are you pouting?"
I didn't answer and his grin became a smile. "Why are you staring at the TV it's not even on."
I still didn't answer or look his way so he positioned himself over top of me. "Do I have to make you talk?," he said as he kissed the side of my face. I tried my best to make sure he didn't know his kiss affected me in any way so I rolled my eyes at him. He smirked and kissed me again, this time in my sweet spot that was just below my right ear.
I bit my bottom lip and squirmed underneath him. He smiled and kissed it again, knowing he had me. He kept kissing it and I couldn't help it I began laughing. Once I cracked he grinned at me and began tickling my torso.
"I knew you couldn't hold it for long."
I rolled my eyes, laughing as he tickled me and then I pushed him off. "You used my weakness!"
He grinned showing off his dazzling teeth and then he got up from the couch and held out his hand. "Let's make some dinner. I'm starving."
I took his hand and he led me into the kitchen so we could begin cooking. Once we figured out that we wanted to make homemade tacos I fired up the pots and pans. Afterwards, we had a nice meal and then we decided to dress up and head to the casino.

"Whatever profit I make we split it okay?"
I nodded eagerly and grabbed ahold of Nick's arm as he led us into the passion pit of games and glowing machines. The first thing I smelled was cigarette smoke and vodka. Who knew that casinos would smell like this? I always thought they would smell like decks of cards and old people...maybe I'm thinking of a retirement home...whatever.
I had no clue how to work these machines so I decided to let Nick do all the playing and such. I would be better off just watching then letting these machines take my money.
Nick ordered me a martini and I sipped on it while I waited for him to get machine tokens. Once he got his tokens I followed him into the back of the casino and over to the slot machines.
"I'm really good at these, they're a piece of cake." Nick said as he sat down in front of the glowing money box.
I smiled and squeezed his shoulder. "Play!"
He chuckled. "Alright. Alright."
I watched as he put in a few game tokens and then the machine came to life. Nick started doing his magic, playing against the machine and he ended up winning twenty dollars. I jumped up and down, happy for him, and gave him numerous high fives. We moved from game to game winning bits of money here and there and then Nick began playing Roulette.
I stood behind him the whole time, sipping on my third martini, completely sucked into the game even though I had no idea what was going on. I'm guessing Nick was winning because all the other people who were playing were looking at him in a pissed expression, especially when he would slide the chips he won towards himself.
After about forty minutes of game playing everyone glared at Nick and got up from the table, clearly he won. Nick cashed in his chips and won a total of one thousand bucks. Like he promised Nick gave me half the earnings and we laughed our way out the casino.
"I didn't know you were that good! You were on fire!"
Nick laughed and wrapped his arm around me. "It's not about being good, it's about luck and knowing all the tricks."
I smiled up at him and wrapped my arms around his waist. "Well you must be the lucky trick master."
He grinned and shook his head at me, chuckling to himself. I stared at him in amazement...was there anything that he couldn't do? He was just so perfect and I didn't deserve him.
