Andrea - POV:
It was Saturday and I was waiting in my driveway for Nick to pick me up. We were having a movie day together and I was a little excited, and curious to see where he lived. When I saw his Mercedes pull up I smiled and hopped in the passenger side. I rubbed his shoulder playfully and smiled.
"Hey you."
He grinned. "Hey, you look beautiful like always."
He leaned over and planted a soft, sweet kiss on my lips and I felt my cheeks start to burn. He pulled his lips from mine, smiled and backed out the driveway. I rubbed my lips and smiled out the window.
"So, where do you stay?"
He cranked up the radio and shrugged. "Just a little past Manhattan."
* * * *
"Holy cow. You're filthy rich!"
I gasped as Nick drove down a long black driveway that led to a gigantic, white four-story mansion.
Nick laughed. "I'm not rich."
I glared at him. "Nick, you have a gate surrounding your house. A security code to enter the gate. Your driveway is literally a mile long, and you have a water fountain in the front of your house."
He shrugged. "So."
I rolled my eyes and he stopped the car right by the water fountain, got out and opened the door for me. I thanked him and when I stepped out the car I took in the beauty of the house. I couldn't believe how rich he was. I mean, he said he wasn't employed so how did he get all this money? Then again he said he did help with the family clothing business. That business must be very popular, I can't believe I haven't heard of it. Nick grabbed my hand and laughed. "C'mon stop staring, lemme show you around."
He led me up the front porch and unlocked the big glass door. We stepped into the main hall of the house and I got a good whiff of what smelt like homemade pizza.
Nick noticed I was sniffing the air and he chuckled. "Maria must be here."
I looked at him. "Maria?"
He helped me take my jacket off and hung it on a coat rack nearby. "My chef. I like to stay fit, so she makes me healthy meals."
I smiled and looked up at the ceiling and gazed at the huge chandelier that was hanging above us. It was a beautiful golden color and sparkled like diamonds. Nick pulled me into the spacious kitchen and sung out in a ballad. "Mariaaaaaaa! You came!"
A pretty Mexican lady turned away from the oven and smiled at Nick. "Of course! I heard you were having company so I wanted to cook!"
He pulled her into a big embrace and she laughed and hit him with a spatula. "No horseplay in the kitchen! Now introduce me to your lady friend."
Maria glanced at me and Nick smiled. "Andrea this is Maria, my fantastic chef, and Maria this is Andrea, one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet."
I shook her hand and chuckled at Nick's comment. "Nice to meet you."
Maria grinned. "You too. Is Nick a nice boy to you?"
I grinned. "Yes he's a sweetheart."
Nick wrapped his arms around me and I laughed. "Well I'm gonna show Andrea around. We'll be back down later."
Maria nodded and went back to cooking. Nick led me up the grand staircase and I smiled at him. "She seems really down to earth."
"Who Maria? Yeah, she's always fun."
