Andrea - POV:
Nick was acting very weird lately and I couldn't quite put my finger on why. I intentionally blamed myself for his strange behavior, but then I realized I was being stupid because I had done nothing wrong. I also trusted him enough and to believe that he was cheating on me was ridiculous. The only other explanation was he was stressed from work, and I could reason with that. I mean, he was working for his father and I knew William wasn't Nick's favorite person; and that could be the cause of his behavior.
I decided I needed to stop worrying so much about Nick and focus on myself. The hair salon was getting more and more business everyday and some renovation would be a great idea. I was also working on creating my own homemade conditioner. Christie gave me the idea and I figured I would try it. I went to cosmetology school for a reason right?
On Saturday Christie forced Aaron to come over and be apart of my little hair experiment. I was going to try out my first conditioner on him, it was a mix of fresh almond shavings and cucumber.
"Will I go bald from this stuff?"
I rolled my eyes at Aaron and pulled on a pair of latex gloves. "You shouldn't."
Christie gave him a small kiss and smiled. "You'll be fine baby."
He nodded and looked at my conditioner bottle with fear. I squirted the cream in my hands and rubbed it into Aaron's already moist hair. When I was finished making sure every inch of his hair was covered in my conditioner I put a shower cap on his head and grinned.
"Now we wait about twenty minutes."
Seven minutes later Aaron began whining.
"This stuff itches. Is it supposed to itch?"
I frowned at him. "Maybe it's just tingling, that means it's working."
Two minutes later Aaron began whining again.
"Andrea it really itches."
I sighed and pulled off the shower cap looking down at his head. My eyes widened at the sight and I bit my bottom lip. His scalp was becoming red and swollen.
"Let's get this washed out. Now!"
Christie and I rushed him to the bathroom and I turned on the sink water. Aaron began panicking and itching his head.
"What's happening!? Is my hair falling out?"
Christie shook her head and rubbed his back reassuringly. "No baby, calm down."
I quickly put his head under the water and washed out all the conditioner, making sure to double check for any conditioner remains. Once everything was out Aaron was sat on the toilet drying his hair with a towel.
"My head hurts."
I decided to put some hair cream on his hair to help his scalp. I felt really bad, I didn't think my conditioner would make him react like that.
"I'm sorry. Are you allergic to anything?"
Aaron sighed at the soothing feeling his head was receiving from the cream and shrugged. "Nothing serious. I think almonds, why?"
My eyes widened and I gave a small feeble chuckle. "Well..."
Aaron glared at me. "Why?"
"Well...my conditioner may have had almonds in it."
Christie gasped dramatically and hit my arm. "How could you!?"
I hit her back. "I didn't know!"
