Chapter Four

Katie's POV:

"What's going on?"I asked Erik trying to look around to see what everybody was staring at."I don't know.I can't see."He replied.I let go of his hand."I'm gonna try to get through everybody and see."

"Curiosity killed the cat Katie!"Erik said grinning."Ha ha ha.You're hilarious."I said sarcastically and started walking through the people.Gosh darn it I hated being so short!I made it to the front and heard a low growl and everybody walked away.I looked at my brother and the new girl.OH!She's his mate!Finally!I was starting to think he'd never get one.I chuckled to myself as Erik caught up to me.

And then I remembered I was on the Welcome Committee.Darn!I walked up to Rachel was her name right?Oh god.Did I forget?"Um.Hi,I'm Katie.I'm on the Welcome Committee.I'm gonna show you to all of your classes and help you with your locker and stuff."I said plastering on a fake smile.God I really hated being on the Welcome Committee.It was for preps and I certainly wasn't a prep."She's also my little sister."Jared put in grinning at me.I rolled my eyes still smiling."Oh.Well,um,nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too.You guys better get to class before the bell rings."I said to Erik and Jared.Erik kissed my cheek."See you after babe."I smiled."See ya."Jared waved to me and they walked away."Okay.So here's your class schedule and your locker number."I said handing her the pieces of paper."Thanks."She muttered."Your locker should be somewhere over here.'I led her to a group of lockers."This is it right?"She asked pointing to a locker.I nodded.She opened the locker and put her stuff in."Let me see your schedule."I said and she handed me her schedule.I looked it over.Her first class was Werewolf History,but they put it down as Mythology.

Why didn't her parents tell her about werewolves.Once my brother marked her she would be able to shift and the first shift is always the most painful or so I've heard.I sighed."Everything okay?"She asked looking at me."Yep.You have your first class with me and after that you have a class with Jared and then after that you have a class with me and my ma-I mean boyfriend,Erik and then after that you have a class with all three of us."She gave me a little bit of a confused look and then smiled.Oh boy!I thought it would be one of the boys to accidentally break the news to her but looks like I was really close.

"Okay well we better get to class."She said and I nodded.We walked to Werewolf History.I mean Mythology and went in.My teacher,Mr.Fersbrown,nodded to me and I went and sat down in my seat."Class,this is Rachel.I want you guys to welcome her kindly."Mr.Fersbrown said.What's funny about his name is his fur really is brown."Hi."Rachel said and waved."You can go take a seat next to Katie."Mr.Fersbrown said poitning to the seat next to me.She walked over and sat down next to me."I have a question."She said."What is it?"I asked."Is there a cheerleading squad here?"Oh boy!"Yeah.They all hate me."I said grinning.She said an eyebrow."Why?"

"Cuz Erik is my ma-boyfriend."

"Why would they be mad about that?"She asked.

"Cuz Erik is popular just like my brother and he's with me and they're all jealous."

"Oh."

"Yep."I said popping the "p".She grinned at me."I do that all the time."

"Do what?"I asked.

"Pop the p."I laughed.

"Okay class get quiet and we'll get class started."Mr. Fersbrown said.Everybody got quiet.Everybody loved this class.They all thought it was cool including me.Mr. Fersbrown started the lesson.About ten minutes into the lesson I looked over to see Rachel listening with amazed eyes.If only she knew about the werewolf stuff.She would be even more amazed to know that eventually she'd become one.I am.
