Chapter Eighteen

Rachel's POV:

It's Friday afternoon. I'm home alone waiting for Jared to get back from work. We were going to be leaving for my mom's house as soon as he got home. He was excited to see me so happy and talking about someone I truley loved, and he was also excited for meeting my mother, the persone who raised me and taught me to be who I am today.

Katie and Erik weren't in class today, but we figure that they were just out skipping class again to have some lesson's over shifting. They've been doing that for the past week. I am now currently watering my newly planted flowers, and double checking all of the bag's. I haven't even been to my mom's house yet, so this will be new to me.

"Hey beautiful." Jared said walking up the path from his car. "What's shaking?"

"Nothing at all. Will you load the car up? I have to finish watering my plants."

"Of course." He said bending down and kissing my forehead.

"Thank's babe." We've gotten so much closer to each other since I've found out what I am. I'm okay with knowing that I'm going to want to be with him forever and ever. I'm actually already starting to become more attracted to him.

"Ready to leave yet?" He asked a half hour later.

"Ready when you are."

"Kay, lock up, I'll start the car." He said walking toward the car.

"Alright. Be there in a second." I went and locked the house p after checking for everything. I went out to the car to hear Lady Antebellum's "Just A Kiss" blarring through the sterreo. "Can it be a little louder?"

"If you want." He said winking and turning it up."

"Ass. Turn it down."

"But, it's our song."

"Since when?"

"Since now."

"Oh, so what, we're going to slow dance whenever it come's on?"

"Yeah." he said pressing replay and getting out of the car and grabbing me up twirrling me around in circle's with our forehead's together. "I love you Rachel."

"I...I love you to Jared."

A light sprinkle began to fall, and I looked up laughing, and lowered my head back down, and was met with warm, mouth wateringly, desierable lip's that felt amazing on mine. We kissed for what seemed like forever, but finally pulled away when I got a call on my phone.

"Hello?" I asked feeling my lips bruising from the kiss.

"Rachel, where are you?"

"Mom! We're leaving just now. I swear. We'll be there in an hour."

"You'd better. I'm counting down now. You have sixty minutes to get here otherwise you won't have dessert later."

"Alright mom, I unerstand your failed attempt at menacing punishment. We'llbe there in sixty minutes or more. Love you bye." I hung up quickly and jumped into the passenger seat watching Jared chuckle and climb into his seat. Before I knew it, we were off.
