Chapter Twnety-Two:
Rachel's POV:
It's been six hours since they left. They should be coming in for there twelve hour rest while party 2, and then party three goes out. Why aren't they here yet? I'm currently pacing my bedroom floor waiting for my mother to open the door and let Jared's party in for the night.
Stop worrying Rachel. We're almost there. About three more minutes and I'll be safe an sound beside you in the bed. Calm down. Jared said to me through my mind.
Hurry up. I'm tired, but I can't sleep until I know that you're safe. Did you find anything?
Not yet. I'm in the front. I'll be uo in a second to change back to human form. Open the bedroom door. I'll run into the bathroom.
Okay. I say running over to the door and flinging it open. Jared came bounding in a minute latter with his blackish brown fur and all. His tail up and strutting across the room with his nose up in the air.
"Show off." I say rolling my eyes and walking over to the bed climbing under the covers. Jared came running out of the bathroom and flung himself down onto the bed beside me and pulling me over to him nuzzling my neck.
"I missed you." He said into my neck.
"I missed you to. So...no luck."
"No. We haven't found anything. Not one single clue as to where they are. Not even a trace of a scent."
"Where have you looked?" I asked turning over to face him.
"All around the school grounds. We even have the school gaurds looking for them. We can't find anything."
"Maybe you're looking at the wrong place. What about around your house? She was there before she went missing." I say looking him in the eye.
"Yeah, but you would think that I would have noticed before now. That is, if she went missing from our lands."
"I'll call my dad in the morning, ask him to send some of his men here to help search."
"As if he would do that to one of the weaker pack's."
"He will if my grandmother threatens him. I'll call her now, just so I have back up when I talk to him. Okay. Hold on." I said standing up and walking down the stair's in my short short's, and tank top to find all these men sitting around with glasses of coffee. "Mr. Woodsburrow. Can I talk to you?"
"Of course Rachel." He said standing and walking with me into the kitchen.
"I'm going to contact my father in the morning and have him send troop's to search for them."
"That won't do any good. He won't send them, whether you're his daughter or not."
"He will. I'm calling my grandmother right now. She'll have my back." With that, I grabbed my phone off of the counter and dialed her number.
"Hello?" She said groggily from the other end.
"Hi grandma. Did I wake you up?"
"Rachel! No, of course not! How are you?"
"Not so well." I said going into the story off Katie. "So, I was wondering if you could help e=me convince my father to send some troops over to look for her."
"Of course dear. I'll talk to him in the morning. Is that soon enough?"
"Yes. I was going to try to talk to him first, so how about, we plan a time for you to come and I to call him?"
"Okay. I'll show up at nine, you call at nine thirty? That way I'm present and if he say's no, he will have to deal with me there already. I'll talk to you tomorrow dear, okay?"
"Okay. Bye grandma."
"Bye Rachel."
"She said she will help us convince him. Its all up to her now...More or less."
"Okay...come with me. I want to introduce you to my party. There my most common men in the pack." He said grabbing my hand and dragging me with him into the living room.
"I'm not dressed appropriatly."
"Doesn't matter. They will treat with respect either way." He said as we came to a stop in front of all the men. "Boy's this is Rachel Redwood. My son's mate, and daughter of our King, Gregory Redwood. She will be taking his spot in the future."
"Hello Rachel." They all said smiling at me. I smiled back and looked at Harrold.
"Oh right. This," He said gesturing to one man with black hair and green eyes, "is Fredrick. My second in command. And these are Jeremy, Brick, Brendon, Gary, and Todd. I nood my head and shake their hands before saying my goodnight and heading back up the stairs and climbing under the covers to and already asleep Jared.
"Did it go well?" He asked wking slightly and slipping his arm around me again.
"As well as it could ever go." I said kissing the top of his head and falling asleep in the crook of his arm.
