Chapter Thirteen

Katie's POV:

I walked into the high school to find everybody staring at my wrist where Erik's mark now was.It was kinda creeping me out.I mean we had a bunch of girls who were marked.What was the difference between me or them?I mean gosh they were looking at me like I was knocked up or something.Oh yeah!I'm the Alpha's daughter!Duh!

And then the whispering started.

"I can't believe he marked her."

"She is such a loser.Why would he mark her?"

"Oh my gosh look!He marked her!"

"Wow.Bet she had to beg him!"

"Bet she's knocked up and he felt bad."

"Bet she forced him to."

I growled a little bit as the anger rushed in to me.I felt a hand grab my wrist and I looked up at Erik."Don't let it bother you.People talk all the time."I totally forgot that he knew my feelings now.Whoops!

"I wish people would learn to keep their mouths shut though."

"I know."

"It annoys the hell out of me.Why can't they just say stuff to my face?"

"I don't know,but just ignore it.Come on.Let's get to class."

We each walked to our classes and I took a seat next to Rachel.She looked at me for a moment and then looked down at her book."What?Please tell me you don't believe any of those things about me."She looked back up at me."I don't.It's just-"She stopped and looked into the air as of she was thinking about what to say."It's just what?Come on Rachel.Tell me."

"It's just that I don't know if I want to be marked and I'm curious about what it's like and I don't want people to talk about me like they do with you."

"You'll be marked when you want to.Heck you could wait till you're 80.It's your choice.What it's like.We'll there nothing else like it Rach.He knows you're feelings.He knows when you are getting hurt.He wants to protect you.You can turn into a wolf.I haven't done it yet,but I probably will soon.I have been nervous of the pain.People will talk Rachel.They always do.Most of them don't know how to keep their mouths shut."

She sighed."Yeah."I smiled and the teacher walked in."Welcome class.To another day of Werewolf History."
