Chapter Nineteen

Katie's POV:

It was so dark.I couldn't see anything.I was human again.I knew that.What was weird was I was dressed.I didn't remember shifting back and getting dressed.And where was I?Where was Erik?

"Erik."I crawled around the room searching for him with my hands.He didn't answer me."Erik?Are you in here?"Once again nothing.Panic surged through me and all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and then it ran all through my body.I stopped searching for him.

They were hurting him.I stood up and searched the wall for a door.When I finally found one it was locked.I started pounding on it."Erik!"I screamed."ERIK!"I continued screaming until all of a sudden the pain stopped.I sat against the door clutching my stomach with tears running down my face.

All of a sudden the door started to open and I quickly moved over.A bunch of light came in and then the light turned on.A gruffy man threw Erik who was bloody and battered and then shut the door.I ran over to him."Erik.Oh my god.What did they do to you?"He was curled up in a ball on the floor clutching his stomach.

I ripped off a piece of the shirt I was wearing."I would put this on you but I dont know where to put it."Erik pushed himself up a little bit.He grabbed the piece of cloth and put it up against his stomach.I watched as it was almost immediatly covered in blood.I started crying again.Erik was sitting up by now and put his hand on mine."Katie-"He took a deep breath and winced."Calm down,baby.It's healing."

 I looked at him.He was healing.It was slowly though.I couldn't stop crying."Katie.You need-"He took a breath."to stop crying.You're-"He took another breath."gonna make yourself shift."

I once again attemped to make myself stop crying and failed."I can't st-o-o-op."He laughed humorlessly and moved closer to me giving me a gentle kiss.

A couple of minutes later I was done crying.Erik pulled the cloth off of his stomach and pulled his shirt up."It's healed."He muttered and pulled his shirt back down.

"Erik.Where exactly are we?"

"Rogues took us.Who the hell knows?"

"Do you think they'll kill us before somebody attempts to save us?"He looked at me for a moment and sighed.

"I don't know,Katie.I honestly don't know."
