With Sage tense and halted of following the basic breathing techniques, I feel my heart slowly beating without a care in the world which is the complete opposite of her reaction to the door being pushed open.

I literally feel my breath knocked out when her palms clash my chest and shove me back a foot and half to present us at a distance which I don't see why she would want to do.

Is it reflex? Privacy?

Whatever it is, it hurt.

"There you are." My face turns sour, internally, at the sight of that guy, Logan, Sage's oh so sweet friend who gave her some dumb necklace pulls his lips back in a smile that flops my stomach with his pretty boy charms.

Isn't it weird for them to be so friendly? He's older than her and he's a teacher now. Her teacher. This isn't recommended.

Well, I'm not one to talk but I don't give a fvck. This is what I do care about though. Him acting like Sage is fair game to be loved by anyone besides me.

"Logan!" Sage wipes at her forehead before cheesing the way that she does.

Idiotically.

That just makes her cuter though.

"What's going on with you? You finished already?" She engages in conversation which I nearly roll my entire head at. I'm right here?

"Well it is coming up to lunch. I don't think it's improper of us to spend it together. Would you like to?"

"I'd love to!" I grin and carelessly throw my arm around Sage's shoulders before leaning all over her with my lips pressed extra high to show I'm not in the least bit pissed off at the fact that he just invaded my private time with my crush.

Ahem.

My girlfriend.

Sage is my girlfriend.

It's gonna take me a while to get that through my head. I'm sure everyone else won't have a problem reeling that in though.

"Oh. You too if you want Chandler." He offers to my rude self invite.

Bet your as$ I'm invited buddy.

Think I'm gonna let someone else have time my girlfriend without me? Ha. Morons.

"You should really get cleaned up though." Sage raises a brow at me, the blush on her cheeks still visible at this closeness which makes me proud of myself. She likes me. She really does.

Thank goodness.

No matter how much I convince myself that I want her to hate me for reasons she won't ever find out, my mind is easily seduced by the idea of me and Sage falling into something dangerous like what this relationship will turn into.

I just hope not too dangerous.

"Oh well." I step back and take a look at her before smirking. "You should get cleaned up too."

"I will." Her lively voice changes from sturdy to struggling.

Gotcha.

"Maybe I should help." I grin and begin to lift the side of her shirt, teasing her skin with smooth air circling her pretty waist before I nearly shriek at the amount of skin her two nails just fvcking pinched.
