I wake up early on my own today feeling slightly better. Ibrahim comes and we read Fajr together. I need to think of a way to get him out of the house.
"When is the last time you hung out with your friends after school?" I ask casually
"That party"
"That's a while back"
"Yeah it is"
"Alex told me that you used to always hang out with them, why don't you?"
"Cuz you're here" he says as a matter of fact.
"I don't want to be the reason you don't hang out with your friends"
"Well you are"
"No Ibrahim I don't feel right. I want you to hang out with them more"
"Alright, I'll go today. See ya" he walks out in a grumpy mood. I sigh, at least he's gone.I go downstairs to eat breakfast, chef makes me toast and tea to which I enjoy on my own. Finally eating all of it. I watch as the two people walk out of the house while I'm drinking my tea. Once they're out of the house I get up. The woman showed me where the library is when I came, if I'm going to find anything, it's going to be there. It takes me 20 minutes to find it, what the house is huge.
The library isn't exactly huge though, it's big but not that big. Once I enter I look around. The room has five big rows of books, a big space in the centre and another three rows at the other side, near the end of the rows on the left side there is a rusty cupboard. In the corner where the windows are there is a weird bump on the wall. Across that there are two big shelves of books with a gap through. I start looking through books to find any clue.
I've searched like half of the room and I've found nothing, suddenly I hear footsteps. Since I'm close to it I squeeze in between the two shelves of books. Where I am I can see most of the room but I'm not noticeble. The door creaks open and my heartbeat quickens.
"Nuh I'm telling you she has really changed" I hear the woman say.
"Amira, I don't give a shit. Go make yourself useful and get ready, I have a meeting and you need to come"
"Why? I don't want to come"
"Amira! I told you never to ask me questions. I swear you're such a dumb bitch. You know why I tell you to come yet you ask me. Isn't it obvious, the men find you attractive and so they agree to my contracts. Now hurry up and go, I don't want to wait"
Disgusting man.I hear a sniff and small footsteps then the door shut.
The man sighs and walks to the cupboard that looks rusty and broken. I didn't go near it because I thought there was nothing in it.
I have such a clear view of what he's doing. He opens the shelf and pulls out some papers.
"I need the hide these" I hear him whisper to himself.
"Zayna can't find them" he walks around the room and hides the papers in a wall. Yes, that bump in the wall was a secret area, there's this small thin but long box stuck to the wall which makes it seems like a bump. He opens it and places the papers inside then walks out. I wait a while until I'm sure he's gone. Then walk out of the crook. Staying in there was painful. After stretching I walk to the box and open it. I find the papers and pull out my phone, I take pictures of all three of them and after putting them back where they were I rush to my room. I bump into the woman on my way up the stairs. She has a face full of makeup and tight clothing. I show a look of disgust and try to walk past her.
"You can't ignore me all your life" I hear her say. I turn around and raise my eyebrows.
"Watch me" I say then enter my room.I let out a big sigh then check my phone for the pictures. After reading them I'm so happy. I pull out my phone and call the person.
"Hey" I say
"Zayna?"
"Yeah, I have to tell you something"
"What's wrong?"
"I've found them"
"You have"
"Yeah. I'm coming to meet you"
