My alarm buzzes waking me up from my really nice sleep. Saying the morning Du'aa in my mind I sit up and stretch. I frown when I see Ibrahim reading Fajr prayer without me. He didn't even wake me up.

I get out of bed and tie my hair that came undone during the night. I walk to the bathroom and take a quick shower, once I'm done I put on my bathrobe and walk out.

I open my wardrobe and pick out a simple long black dress with full sleeves and a pair it with leggings. The leggings won't be visible at all which is why it's ok for me to wear it.

I walk back into the bathroom and get changed, once I'm done I walk out and tie my wet hair. I quickly fixing my hijab so I can read my Fajr prayer. Ibrahim finishes reading and folds the prayer mat.
He smiles at me when he sees me and I return it.

I place the mat on the floor and begin my prayer. Once I'm done I take my hijab off and dry my hair.
A knock on my door interrupts me, after putting a scarf on I open the door. Alex comes in with a tray full off stuff, following her is a few more maids.

"What's going on?" I ask.
"You need to get ready"
"For what"
Alex pauses and looks at me.
"It's your wedding day"
My eyes widen in shock. Seriously?
"Tell me you're joking"
"If I did it would be a lie"

"You forgot your wedding day?" Ibrahim asks.
"Apparently so" I answer still surprised.
"Wow, Ayaan's a lucky man" he shakes his head and walks out of the room.
When I found out about the wedding it was like a slap to the face when Nuh told me. He's so eager to get rid of me it kinda hurts. Not because he's my father or anything just generally.

"Ok, you've had time to get over the shock. I'll help you get ready and explain what's going to happen"

The rest of the maids leave my room while Alex pulls me on a chair.
"So, you're going to get ready and then sign some papers that authorise your marriage then go to the wedding hall where you will meet the so called husband. After sitting with him for a bit you will go to his house and live with him forever"
"You're not making this sound fun" I frown. Her face falls and shows sadness.
"Sorry, it's going to be ok" she smiles. She's understood the idea that I'm leaving and has been sad ever since. Well since this morning I honestly thought I had more time. After yesterday's incident she was hesitant in talking to me but I tried my best to behave like I usually do which made her loosen up a bit.

After sitting on that chair for two hours she's done with my hair and makeup. My hair is in a bun with a few grips to secure it and my makeup is done. I hated the fact that it seemed like she put so much on my face. After putting my wedding dress on I put my hijab on the usual way and slip on my heels. I'm ignoring the mirror to not see how I look.

Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding where she's happy, where her family is surrounding her, where she knows and is ok with her husband. That's not the case for me, I'm being forced here to marry someone who deserves better. I'm being forced to marry someone against my will because of my selfish and inconsiderate father. I'm ruining so many lives and I can't do anything about it. A normal girl is happy and excited for their wedding whereas I, can't wait for it to be over. Sighing for like the millionth time today I get up from the chair.

Alex ushers me downstairs where I get into the car with Ibrahim and Nuh and Amira. Ibrahim holds my hand and gives a small squeeze. I glance at him to see a small smile.
I squeeze his hand back.

We enter the room where I have to sign the papers and it's all done so fast. I'm not even taking in my surroundings, I'm just going with the flow without actually being in the flow. If that makes sense.

"Ayaan is waiting for you at the wedding reception" Nuh says with a smile.
I give him a small smile back.

Bloody bastard ruining my life.
