Ayaan's POV

I can't believe what they said about me. How, I mean. Why? I'm so glad Alhamdulillah my family trust me and they like Zayna enough to know she's not like that. I feel so bad for her because she deals with this on a daily basis. This is my first time, having lies spread about me but she's dealt with it from a young age.

Yes, I kinda researched her. At eight years she got jailed man, that's harsh but somehow I have a feeling there's a big secret behind this. She's not at all how they portray her. That's why I let Yusra stay with her. Somehow I can trust Zayna enough to let my sister be around her.

I get out of school and walk to pick Yusra up from her school. It's quite a walk but when I see her with the assistant I immediately run to her.
"Bhiyaaaaa" she squeals as she hugs me. I laugh and hug her back.

Yusra and my mum are the only people in my life that I care about, they're the only people I love deeply.

"Can we go shops?" She asks.
"Hmm, depends. What are you getting?"
"Sweeties" she says giggling.
"No" I say sternly.
"But Whyyyy?" She whines.
"Yus, they're not good for you"
"They are! They're yummy"
"Yus" I say sternly. She huffs and pouts.
"Come on, if you be good I'll take you to Zayna's tommorow"
"Really?" She asks with hopeful eyes
"Yeah"

We walk home and greet my mum with salams as we enter the kitchen.
"How was school?" She asks the usual question while cooking. We sit down and face each other.
"Me first! No me first!" We both shout then fight with each other. It's me being soft on her but her using her strength which kinda hurts.

"Ya Allah help me. How many times do I tell you, stop fighting like that. One of you will get hurt!" Mum scolds.
"It's her fault!"
"It's his fault" we both say at the same time.

"Stop! Yus you tell me how was your day"
"Ha, mummy likes me better" she sticks her tongue out at me.
"Yus!" Mum says sternly. She just grins cheekily.
"I had fun in school. The teachers were helping me paint. But I couldn't get it home, they said no. Then I went to read books but the teacher read it first to me, I tried reading it. I did but it was hard so I played with blocks"

We both smiled at her because she sounded so happy.
"My turn, I had to do lots of work which was boring"
"How was Zayna?" Mum asks in concern.
"Weirdly enough, she was worried for me. She didn't care for herself"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I came in and she started say sorry even though it's not her fault"
"Aw. Poor girl she's probably used to it so much"
"Yeah, anyways what you cooking?" I change the subject.

After talking with mum a bit more I take Yusra upstairs to get her changed.
"What shall you wear today?"
"A princess dress"
"Really? You don't wanna wear jeans"
"Hmmm, ok"
I chuckle as I pick out a jumper for her to wear with her jeans and help her get changed.

"You want me to brush your hair?"
"Why?" Yusra is the type of kids who hate brushing their hair.
"Because it looks messy"
"No"
"How about I just get rid of the knots?"
"Fine!" She sighs

I brush her hair softly so the knots don't hurt her, once I'm done we go downstairs to eat.

My phone rings in my pocket and I pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Ayaan! Could you maybe come to mines for a while. I need you bro"
"What now?" I say dryly.
"Come on dude, I promise this isn't bad, I just want you over"
"I told you before. I don't want in anymore, leave me out of it"
"Just come over!"
I pause for a while.
"20 minutes" I say after a sigh.

I finish eating then put my shoes on to go.
"Mum, I'll be back soon"
"Please be safe"
It's like she knows what's going to happen.

I drive over to his place and enter without knocking or anything. What, he knows I'm here already.

"I'm so glad you could make it. I need to talk to you"
"Lemme guess, you're in shit, need me to get you out"
"No, this is actually just something I learnt and I know that you need to know" He says seriously.

"What?" I ask with interest.
"You're going out with the Muslim Criminal?"
"No-"
"Don't deny it. I've seen the pictures"
He doesn't wait for my reply, he carries on.
"She's in a sort of danger which I think you should know. I know you left our business but I still owe you which is why I'm telling you this. Boss wants her to join us. Apparently something because she's got potential"
"She would never join"
"That's the thing, Ayaan bro you know how easy it was for you to join us and how hard it was to leave. It'll be exactly like that with her"
"No it won't. I won't let that happen!"
"Chill dude I'm just informing you. I heard Boss say this to someone else, I know you care for her so I thought I'd tell you to make sure you don't let her in this business"
"Thanks"
"It's cool, at least I've repayed you a bit"
"Yeah, I'll get going. See you later man?"
"Yeah, for sure" he holds his hand for me to shake and I do that, his arm goes around me as he pats my back but I don't do the same.

Once get in my car I drive to a cafe where I take off the tracking device he put on me. He will never change.

Zayna won't get in this business will she? I mean I was desperate. In need of money and a way to get rid of my anger, she's angry but that's it. She has money, a lot of that. Maybe she won't. I pray she won't. That's another thing I wasn't as focused on the deen as I am now Alhamdulillah but Zayna is, Masha Allah she seems focused.

Nuh's POV

Zayna leaves home early from work because she had a headache. I could see it was a strain when she opened her eyes properly.

I stayed in the office a while longer finishing the work before leaving. I get into my Toyota Yaris and let the driver drive.

I'm on my phone when the car suddenly starts speeding. Given that I didn't have my seatbelt on I hurled forward then slammed right back.
"Hey! Are you going drive properly?" I shout.
In return the driver continues to drive faster making me worried for my life.
"Stop driving! Stop the fucking car!"
I quickly put on a seatbelt since the driver isn't listening.

"Stop the damn car!" I shout.
The driver doesn't speak just continues driving faster.
"Can you fucking hear? Stop the fucking car!"

I look at the acceleration to see it's rising from 140 to 160.

I immediately look out of the window to see we're not even in our city anymore. Now I'm scared, this driver isn't stopping the fast driving, we're out of my city which means he has full control. I hate it when I don't have control!

I look out of the window again to see we're at a cliff, the car isn't stopping. If he doesn't stop now then we're surely going fall off the cliff and die.
I can't see the drivers face but what I can see is his mouth which is formed into a sly smirk. Who is the person!! He swerves the car around and reverses.

I focus on gripping the seat in front of me instead of shouting. It's not like he's going to fucking listen.

The car falls off the cliff backwards and I close my eyes bracing myself for the impact. However I'm met with none, instead I feel the car rock from one side to another.
I open my eyes and see where still on the cliff. I look back in confusion then I realise what's happening.
WE'RE HANGING OFF THE CLIFF!
Half of the car is off land, and the other half is on land. The worst thing is. My half is off land.
The driver smirks once again and opens his door. He gets out of the car and locks it. My eyes widen in shock as he starts walking away.

So this driver that I hired has driven me in ultimate speed to a secluded area and left me hanging off a cliff with no way out. What the fuck is going on?

I get my phone and call James.
"James, listen carefully and get your fucking arse here now"

Oh, I better be out of here soon!
