"Are you going to keep ignoring me"
"Maybe"
"But why?"
"You know why" he turns so he doesn't face me.
I never had to deal with this at jail. All we did was punch the person and they were fine."Ibrahim, just tell me why"
No answer.
"Ibbyyyy" I say teasingly. I know he hates that name. He growls.
"Come on lil bro. Tell your big sis" I nudge him and speak in a high pitch voice. Inside I'm literally gagging."Why are you doing something you hate just to make me talk to you?"
"What do you mean?"
"I know you hate being all girly so why talk like that?"
"Your my brother Ibrahim, I would do anything for you" I shrug. He faces me."Then why have you been avoiding me" he says quietly without meeting my eyes.
I sigh and budge closer to him.
"Ibrahim, my routine is really packed right now. I've got school then work, then homework, don't forget my prayers. Trust me I didn't mean to block you out it's just I've been really busy lately"
"Why aren't you busy now?"
"Because I asked dad if I could have a day off, he gave me today and tommorow but from then on I've got Sunday's off. I decided that you and me are going to hang out them days"
"Dad?"
The question I was avoiding.
"Yeah, we've started over" I say uncomfortably
"How? I mean so fast?"
"A lot happend when I got that injury. We realised that he actually cared for me and he wants another shot"He nods.
"I could never get him to be like that with me"
Trust me bro, nothing is what it seems. I'm not that influential to get him to change. We don't say anything to each other.
"So did you call Ayaan?"
Speak of the devil. He's so full of himself.
"Yeah, he said he'll be coming"
"Cool. You going to introduce me to these people or what" he smiles.
I grin and hug him."Ok come on" I grab him arm and pull him to the front of the cell. "Shout with me ok?" He nods.
"CHIEF! BLAKE!" They come rushing because it was louder than before."What's happening" Blake asks.
"This is my brother Ibrahim, Ibrahim this is Chief and Blake"
Ibrahim does a small wave, literally he just moved his hand to the left a bit, that's it.
"Well boy, welcome to the family" Blake says with a grin. Ibrahim chuckles."Glad to be accepted"
"Ibrahim, tell me. Is she keeping you safe?" Chief asks.
Ibrahim laughs while I gasp.
"Chief! Of course I am, this is the first time we've been jailed you know"
"Yeah, don't worry Ibrahim this isn't going to be on records or anything. In fact Zayna didn't break the speeding limit because your area is private. We just wanted her over"
"Really?" Ibrahim and me ask together."Yeah" he smiles sheepishly.
"Alright, I got some work to do. I'll see you both later"Chief goes and I walk back to the bench and sit down.
"You had quite the life here"
"What do you mean?"
"I dunno. It doesn't seem so bad"
"Well I was the lucky one that found the easy going guys. But that doesn't mean this jail is always like this. You should see the state of actual criminals. I'm the one that has been rehabilitated along with my brothers at Rehab but these guys are so bad no amount of rehabilitation will do for them""Wow, I never knew it was like this"
"Yeah. It's always like this at the start but once they know you properly the officers treat you a whole lot different. I still remember my first time here" I shudder.Ibrahim is about to say something but is interrupted by the doors opening.
"Guess Ayaan is here" we get up.
"Hey guys" he smiles."What's going on here?" Blake comes.
He looks at Ayaan and raises his eyebrows.
Ayaan looks at him and smirks. Woah, never seen him smirk before. It suits him, I guess.
"Ayaan?" Blake questions.
"How's it going Blake?" He nods at Blake.
"What's going on?" I ask.
