Steve's POV

Bright light slipped through the window and the sound of rain could be heard if you listen carefully enough. The room was cold, the kind of cold the rain leaves. I had just woken up, realising that it was almost 10 am. I looked over to Natasha. She was rolled up beside me, her red hair in her face. The blanket covered her naked body up to her throat. She had her hand in front of her mouth, looking as innocent as a little child. Her pale skin looked so smooth and her eyes were closed. She looked peaceful. Not scared or afraid or broken. You couldn't see that pain in her body. You could only see that pain through her eyes. He knew he had to wake her up, this was going to be a long day. He moved a lot closer to her and put his hand over her chin. She woke up, putting her hand over his. He looked into her eyes and saw the fear in them until they changed and got a bright full look.
"I love rain." She said smiling, to my surprise.
"Why?" I asked, honestly not understanding why someone would love the idea of rain.
"I don't know. It makes me happy. It's different. Everybody loves the sun. Nobody gives the rain much thought. And it's cozy, and calming. It's you."
She said, putting her forehead against mine. I smiled and leaned in kissing her softly on the lips. She licked her lips and put her head on my chest. She tried hiding in the blanket as much as possible, but the chilly room made her cold. I put my arms around her and rolled her to the side, our bodies against each other. It got a lot warmer and her body softened. I gave her a tight hug, holding her close.
"I'm so sorry but we have to get up." I whispered in her ear. She breathed out heavily, moaning a bit.
"No, I don't want to. It's so cozy and you're so warm. It's so cold outside."
She complained.
"Didn't you say you liked the rain a few seconds ago?" I chuckled.
"Well, that was before I knew that I actually had to get up." She took another deep breath and focused her eyes on mine. "Captain.., don't you agree that it's sounds more fun to stay in bed.. all day?" She smirked, putting her hand on my chest.
"That would be more fun." I said smiling. I put my hand on her waist brining her closer. I was just an out to kiss her when she moved away, getting out of bed.
"No, don't go." I said sadly.
"Well, if I'm not mistaken, you were the one who said that we had to get up." She said teasing.
"My mistake." I said smiling.

Natasha's POV

I slipped out of the bed room, feeling Steve's eyes on my back. I went to my wardrobe in the hallway. Annoyed by the fact that I didn't have my suit, I chose some clothes that looked a like. Some black jeans, showing of my ass and a black top, showing my shoulders. And a pair of high heel boots. Also black. They almost reached all the way up to my knees. I went to the kitchen, grabbing a few of the guns, and started hiding them on my body. One in my bra, one in my left boot and so on. I left two for Steve on the table, knowing he would probably use his shield as protection.
Steve came into the kitchen, seconds later, dressed in a black t-shirt and blue jeans. His tight t-shirt showed every muscle in his arms to his chest. His hair was messy but he looked handsome. Very handsome.
We ate some breakfast and went through the plan before we got outside.
The rain was still falling from the sky and I stood on the front porch, waiting for Steve to get outside. I had my grey rain coat on, the hood over my head. I folded my arms while enjoying the sight of the rain. How it simply fell on everything without brining any damage. Soft and smooth. Not hurting anyone. I smiled when I felt Steve's hands round my waist, giving me a hug from behind.
"Captain, It's going to be a lot more difficult trying to focus on what we're supposed to do when you hold me in your arms all the time." I said turning around.

Steve's POV

Natasha stood on her toes, almost kissing me, when she all of a sudden took a step back and held her hand in front of my face. The car keys that had been in my pocked a second ago was in her hand.
"I'm driving." She said, lifting her left eyebrow, giving me half a smile.
I picked up my shield and followed her to the car.

It was a long drive back to the city, to Fury. But it went faster then expected. We were close, only a few minutes left. Natasha's hand kept changing place on the wheel and her eyes was changing the position nonstop. She looked stressed, like she had a SAT and would die if she failed.
"Nat?"
She didn't look at me.
"Natasha?" I asked again.
She didn't hear me. I put my hand on her. She looked at me, surprised. Like as if she had forgotten that I was here.
"Sorry, this thing's just messing my brain." She said giving my face a glance.
"Yeah, mine too. It'll be alright though."
"How can you say that? You don't actually know that? She said, little annoyed.
"No, actually I do. I believe in it. We'll do this quick and smooth. Then we can go somewhere and I don't know, enjoy the rain?" I said, smiling.
"After this, I will probably just enjoy the rain from my bedroom window." She said, smiling back.

Nat parked the car a few blocks away from Fury's office. We didn't want to risk the chance of getting caught the first we do.
"Good luck." She said turning around, ready to walk away. She was supposed to sneak in to Fury's office, not getting noticed by anyone. Steve on the other hand was supposed to be seen. Cause some chaos and then find out what's going on.
"You forgot something." I said.
She turned around, confused, begin certain that she got everything she needed.
"Forgot what?" She said.
"This." I said, giving her a long kiss.
"Steve you gotta stop this, it feels like I'm in a romantic movie." She said smiling.
"Well I don't mind being in a romantic movie, I found them quite delightful."
Nat chuckled at that.
"Remind me to never let you choose a movie." She said, still laughing. She then turned around and started sneaking around the corners. I watched her until she disappeared. I waited for a minute or two and took my shield. Getting myself ready to find out the truth that had been bothering me for a long time.
