Natasha's POV

The building was full of people. Workers walked around talking on their phones, looking stressed or worried. It wasn't that hard to sneak past them. I'm pretty good at playing invisible like I am playing visible. It's an easy game that I know inside out. I went for the elevators in the corridor to the left. A man came out from one of the elevators and I hid behind a weirdly shaped rock sculpture. I shook my head, not understanding how someone can spend money on that ugly thing. I quickly slipped into the elevator and pressed the button for the 37th floor. The elevator soon stopped but on the 17th floor. I got annoyed, hoping to avoid a fight or anything that would cause attention. A guy, maybe 19 years old, walked into the elevator. He looked rather small in his a little to big suit and smiled nervously as his eyes met mine. I knew immediately that he wasn't a threat so I let him be. The elevator started going up again and stopped this time on the 21th floor. The annoying feeling in my body had reached a 100% but it cooled down as fast as I saw the people waiting for the elevator. It was agent Rumlow with four other agents. I knew Rumlow was a threat, especially with four other agents. They hadn't noticed me yet since they were in the middle of a conversation that looked very intense. I looked over at the 19 year old guy and walked fast closer to him which took him by surprise.
"If you want to then just roll with it." I whispered in his ear, giving him a half smile. As fast as Rumlow and the agents had stepped into the elevator, I started kissing the guy. My back was turned against the agents and I did everything to try and hide my face. To my luck, they all got out of the elevator at the 25th floor, to busy to even care about the two strangers kissing in the elevator. As soon as the doors closed I stopped kissing the guy and walked to the place I stood before the guy joined me in this annoying elevator ride. I stared straight forward, feeling the guys eyes on me.

"Ehm..mm., I'm Eric by the way." He squeezed, very uncomfortable in the situation.
I kept looking straight forward.
"Wait, aren't you.." He started.
"I'm Sharon, Sharon Carter." I said, turning my face to look at him. I didn't want to risk him remembering or recognising me.
"Right, your an agent right?" He said, smiling.
"You probably shouldn't use the word 'right' two times in the same sentence."
I said, looking straight forward again.
The elevator finally reached the 37th floor and right before I stepped out the elevator I turned around.
"If you want this to happen again sometime, please do not tell anyone."
He nodded. I raised my left eyebrow and smirked.
"Good, bye sweetheart." I said as the doors closed behind me. I walked straight to Fury's office. I only had to knock out maybe four agents on the way there. Now there's only Nick himself left.

Steve's POV

When I came into the building, people turned their faces at me right away. It was pretty hard not to recognise me with my shield in my hand. 40 seconds later I had a gun pointing at my head.
"Captain America, if you may follow us." An agent said.
"And why would I do that?"
"Because we have something of yours that you probably want back." He answered.
"Really, and what would that be?"
"Natasha Romanoff." He smirked.
I became worried, it could be a trick. But it didn't matter, I couldn't risk it. And I might even found out some stuff on the way there. After all, this was almost the plan. A few agents showed the way to a room on the 37th floor were I got to sit in a chair, 10 agents surrounding me as I waited for something, or someone.
"Where the hell is Agent Romanoff?" I said firmly.
"Relax captain. We found her wandering around the building last night and we took her to make some tests. You know, to see what went wrong with her. The freak that she is." A woman said, her gun pointing at me.
I was relived by the fact that I knew that it was a lie, since Natasha and I were pretty busy last night. I did though not accepted the way she spoke of her.
"Watch your mouth." I said, my eyes starring into hers.
She laughed.
"Come on Cap, even you know she's the biggest slut on earth. I wonder how many guys she fucked..or how many that raped her.."
"ENOUGH!" I screamed standing up. At least 10 guns were pointed at me but my rage took over and I simply started hitting them. After a while of fighting, every single agent was lying on the floor passed out. I was just about to turn around and walk out of the door when someone puts a gun to my head.
"Nice to meet you again Captain. It's been a while." Nick Fury said, giving me a smile. His eyes unusually dark.
"What the hell is going on?" I said, not moving a bit.
"Well, if you sit down I might tell you. You see, I do share stuff, I'm nice like that." Fury continued. He walked over to one of the enormous glass window that showed a view of the city.
"You see Cap, after all the years that I have worked with SHIELD I've learned some pretty important stuff.
Number 1, don't trust anyone.
Number 2, never try to kill an assassin and Americas golden boy while their in the same room.
And number 3, if you want the work done, you just gotta do it yourself."
"I don't get it. What do you want?" I said angry, not appreciating the choice of words.
"I want, simply, to rule the world. Don't get me wrong. I don't want people to bow before me. Just do what I say."
"Can't you hear yourself? What the hell are you thinking Fury? This isn't you." I said, standing up. "Come on, why are you doing this?"
"Well.." He chuckled. "Because I want to. And I'm not letting anything or anyone stand in the way. Thanks for coming here by yourself by the way, it will make it a lot more easier to kill you." He said, laughing this time.
He stepped closer, pointing his gun at my head.
"And this time, you can't do anything to stop it Cap." He continued.
"Your right." I said. "I can't, but she can."
Before Fury had a chance to react, Natasha had kicked the gun out of his hand and knocked him to the ground. His head hit the table and he dosed of into deep sleep.
Natasha looked at me and laughed.
"You know what's kind of funny?" She said smiling. "I'm still always picking up after you boys."
She picked up my shield and handed it to me. I smiled.
"So what are we gonna do know? I mean, this isn't Fury. I believe he's been brainwashed or something. It could be something similar to the thing Loki did with his sceptre. Maybe some sort of.."
I interrupted her.
"Nat, this might actually.. be him. I mean, how well did we actually know him?" I said carefully, not sure on how she would react.
She just looked right at me, not showing any emotions at all.
"This isn't just about Fury anymore, this is bigger than that. Imagine all the people working under him. We gotta stop this. I know you want to believe in him but from what we just heard.." I continued.
"You're right." She squeezed. "We should go."
