All Hope Lost

Chapter 11

Me and nate decided to go get some breakfast.
We pull into, what do you know, I hop. But we went through the drive through because I wasn't dressed. (Is there drive thru ihops??)
We order and pull up. We waited a good 15 minuets before we got our food. As we pulled out I saw cameron pull in with..a very, veeeeery pretty girl.
"Who's that?" Nate asks.
"The reason I cried earlier.." I say
"Wait is he cheating on you?!" Nate asks getting mad.
"I don't think so.." I say
"Then?.."
"They've just been talking a lot and things have been suspicious" I explain.
We get back to his house and eat breakfast.
"Lilly I think you should call him" nate says
"I guess your right" I say and take Nates phone, dialing camerons number.
C- hey is lilly with you?
L- this is lilly you silly
C- oh hey what's up?
L- sitting with nate what about you?
C- oh I'm just shopping at the mall by myself
L- okay..... I'll see you later
I hung up aggravated that he lied to me.
"So now he's lying about where he is" I say.
"What an ass" nate says.
*camerons pov*
"Don't you feel bad about lying to her?" Railey asks. We left ihop and were walking around at the park.
"I mean yeah, but I just don't think she should know about this" I say
"I missed you" she smiles at me.
"Yeah I mean it's been a while" I say
"Yeah, you've really grown into your looks too" she says turning to me.
"Yeah I guess" I say
She leaned in closer.
"I've always found you attractive" she says and kisses me.
I kissed back, it didn't feel right, but it didn't feel wrong either.
*lillys pov*
"Maybe we're just thinking wrong of her, she could just be a friend and cam doesn't want me to be jealous or something" I say
"Yeah possibly" he says
"Do you think it's cause of my stomach?" I ask
"What do you mean?" Nate laughs.
"Ever since I had the baby, my stomach looks all, fat and stuff" I say lifting up my shirt a little to show him the pudge.
"You look fine lilly" he says
"I don't feel fine" I say and he gives me worried eyes.
"Lills, everything will work itself out, I know everything is hard right now but you'll always have a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of rain" he says (OH GOSH I DID THAT YES)
"Remember when we went to that river at 2 am with food and I pushed you into the water?" He asks
"Yeah" I smile remembering how close me and nate used to be.
"Little things." He says
He did help me realize all the little things I've done that made me happy. Not everything in life has been bad.
"Now, realize it could be nothing. But if it is something I have dibs on beating Camerons ass" he laughs.
"Okay" I laugh.
*nates pov*
Lilly left 20 minuets ago, but texted me that cameron wasn't there. It made me really mad. I decided to go to the mall and get lilly a present, make her feel a little better. I went into the makeup store and looked through some lipsticks. Yeah I'm embarrassed to be seen in here but lilly is one of my best friends.
I looked out the glass doors of makeup store and saw cameron and that girl, outside of the ice Cream shop across from the store. They were talking and laughing. My blood was boiling.
She leaned in and kissed him and he didn't push her away.
I couldn't take it anymore.
I stormed out the doors and pulled cameron up from his chair by his shirt.
"The hell do you think your doing?!" I yell at him pushing him a little.
"Nate God is lilly with you?" He asks
"Your Lucky she's not! What is this?" I ask
"It's really not what it seems" he says
"you railey?" I ask te stupid looking girl sitting there quietly, she nodded slowly and I looked back to cameron with clenched fists.
"You're a freaking prick, your ass doesn't deserve lilly, and everything she's going through and your out doing this?"
"Nate please don't say anything" he says
"Your lucky I don't want to hurt her" I raise my voice
"I think I should go" railey says
"Yeah you damn well should" I say and she leaves.
"I didn't mean for-" I cut him off
"You tell lilly, or I will"
"I can't do that and you know you can't either" he says
"Do you even care about her? Her feelings?" I ask
"Of course I do, I love her nate, it's just things are hard" he says.
"You know lilly came to me crying wondering if you hated her, thinking you don't find her attractive anymore, feeling like she has competition, and your out kissing other sluts instead of your wife!" I say and storm off. If I didn't stop then I would have hit him. Hard.
