Alex walked into the parking lot chatting with Jake. 'So what kind of work do you think he will give us this time?' She looked around the parking lot and saw that it was almost full, people were hanging out with their friends by their cars and talking about what ever teenagers talk about. Her eyes landed on the one group of people and she quickly assess them. She and Kara had made up and to her surprise were really great friends; she had sit with her during lunch-at a different table of course. Her brother was not so please but Alexis didn't care, she liked Kara and she won't let Lucas come between her friendship.
And speak of the devil, her eyes landed on him and like every time she looked at him her faced flush with both guilt and desire. Guilt become every night she dreamed about him and harbour fantasies of what it would be like with him. Looking into his dark beautiful eyes, she saw a knowing look, like he knew something. Oh my God, he couldn't know about the dreams could he? Gasping in horror she tried to calm down. Stop it Alexis, he couldn't possible know. It's impossible, it's just a dream and you haven't told anyone. Besides he would have probably kill you already. So calm down. With her breathing under control, she give one final look to see him smirking at her, he is so full of it. Sending a glare his way she turned her head away.
'You weren't listening to me were you?' Jake asked her as they made their way across the parking lot. Crap, she had forgotten all about what they were discussing. Shame faced, she admitted she wasn't listening. 'I just got a little distracted.' She looked up at Jake to find him staring at her with amusement. 'What?'
'If you like Lucas, why don't you just tell him? And if I didn't know any better, I would think you’re in love with him. He is the star of your 'sexual fantasies,' after all. I never took you for the romantic type,' Jake laughed at her horrified expression.
Alexis stop dead in her tracks, had Jake heard her every night? He had only came in once to wake her but he never did it anymore. How embarrassing, face flushing tomato red she pulled her hair out of her pony tail to hide her face. Then something else Jake said registered 'I am not in love with Lucas. I don't even like him,' Alexis said stiffly.
'Oh you like him enough to dream about him every night.' Jake said.
'I don't know where those dreams came from. Every night it's something different.’
'Just try not to think about him too much.' Alexis was about to reply when she heard Kara calling her, beckoning for to come over. She didn't want to go, not with Lucas there, but she knew Kara would just come and drag her there anyway.
'Hey there green eyes, how are you?' It was Javier who grabbed her up in a big bear hug. She would never have taken him for the hugging type. She giggled and hugged him back. 'Can't breathe,' she forced out after she realized he was squeezing too tight. After he released her the others hugged her, well almost everyone. She wasn't expecting any from Lucas, in fact she hadn't even looked at him. She was doing her best to just ignore him. 'You know you guy’s hugs a lot, we saw each other yesterday. Not that I mind of course.' She blushed deeply.
'So how was your night?' Xavier asked. Crap he never meant to ask that question. He hopes Lucas won't kill him. He did, however, received a tongue lashing from him through thier mind link. 'Sorry man, didn't mean to ask that.'
Alexis narrowed her eyes at Xavier and eyes him suspiciously. What Alexis, you think he knows your dreaming about his best friend? Don't be ridiculous. She thought to herself and relax at that thought. Why she keep freaking about some stupid dream she will never know. 'It was okay I guess. Didn't get much sleep, how was yours?'
They continued to talk for a while. Alexis never knew she would meet people like them, they were so awesome and she was happy she had a good friendship with them all. And all the while she was talking to them she was fully aware that Lucas was staring at her. They never said a word to each othe,r but each was highly aware of the other.
