'Alexis baby?' Lucas called again. It had been an hour and he had managed to ensure that everyone was okay and showered. The fighting had stopped half an hour ago with a few injured men. Everyone was out cleaning up the mess that was created. Now he was locked in his room with a fainted Alexis who decide to torture him more by staying asleep. He missed her. 'Hellooo...'

Finally, he thought when he saw her steering. She jumped right up in bed forcing him to move back, not expecting that reaction. 'Hey, you're okay you're safe.' He cooed when he saw her looking around and at him wildly. Then she slapped him. 'Hey what was that for?!'

'You blocked me! Do you know how worried I was when I felt your pain and then you disappeared? I told you not to do that, I hate when you do.' She screamed at him and making him feel worse when she started crying.

'Oh honey I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to feel the pain.' He tried to hold her but she slapped his hand away before pushing him over so he was lying in his back. Too shock to move he watched as she took her clothes off before removing his. And all the time she cursed him and called him names. She kissed him hard before she straddles his hips. Okay this was definitely the best tongue lashing he had ever got. He was so hard he had to force himself to keep still as she took a hold of his member.

'I hate you! Don't you ever scare me like that again!' She yelled as she slide achingly slowly down on his shaft 'Oh yes...' she moaned. She rode him angrily and he just grinned at her both furious and pleasure filled face. She was so contradicting.

Grabbing a hold of her hips he surged up inside her bring them both to climax in a matter of seconds. 'Are you okay love?' He asked after a few minutes of heavy breathing. That was the best angry sex he had ever had.

'I'm still mad at you and I would like to be alone.' She told him snuggling deeper in the sheet as she covered her body naked body from his view.

Okay? 'I'm not leaving this bed honey so you will just have to deal with it.' He told her and went to spoon her but she sat up and made to get up 'Where are you going?'

'If you don't leave then I will.' It drove him crazy just how much she can get him to do what she wanted. Sighing with frustration, he got up and put his clothes back on. 'Get back in the bed.' He growled at her. She glared at him before doing what he said. He was about to leave the room when she intern growled at him.

'Are you going to kiss me good night? Some mate you are.' He felt like ripping his hair out. Her pregnancy harmonies must be messing with her or something. He made sure to kiss her good and nice so she had nothing to complain about. 'Okay you can come to bed now, and stop being so annoyed at me.' Lucas couldn't stop the growl that left him as he undress except for his boxer and got back into bed.

He stayed on his side of the bed thinking about his crazy mate. It took him a few minutes to realize she was crying. He didn't waste any time and went to cuddle her. 'Why are you crying love?'

'Because you're upset with me. I'm sorry for being so...'

Sighing he hugged her to him whispering sweet nothings to her until he heard her breathing slowed 'Love you mate' he whispered before he too went under.

'What's going on?' Lucas asked as he came into the living room. He had just come from a perimeter run with his betas, checking to make sure everything was under control after last night. Now they were back home only to find Jerman in his living looking like he was a second away from death. 'What happen to you? Who did this?' He was lying on his couch.

Apart of him was pissed that he was lying there because his mate liked to relax there and watch TV. Where was she by the way? Shaking his head he bring himself back to the matter at hand. 'It was Marco. I never saw it coming. For years he had been with the council and I never figured out what he was...' He looked like he was in pain. He took deep breaths that seem to hurt every time 'Marco is a vampire Lucas and he was the one who ordered the attack on your pack. I'm not sure why but all I know is that they want you guys badly or better yet want Alexis badly.'

Lucas felt his skin crawl at that. Vampires? That was what attacked them last night? It was the last thing he expected to hear. Vampires weren't even supposed to exist. 'So they are the things that attack last night. How come I never know they really exist? And how they fuck did you not know he was one of them?'

'Hey baby,' He heard Alexis called from behind him. He went and took her in his arms suddenly scared for his love. 'What's wrong?' Times like this he wished he could block her but he didn't want to upset her by doing so. He didn't want her to know how worried he was. 'Nothing love.'

'I wish I could explain but I need to rest, I'm feeling weak.' He heard Jerman muttered from the couch. Sighing he took Alexis and carry her to sit with him on one of the comforters, placing her gently in his lap. 'Your father can explain to you about it. He knows as much as I do.' Jerman said before Carmen escorted him out of the living room.

Lucas glared at his father. He knew what the whole fucking deal was and had kept quiet about the whole thing. He had finally had enough. Alexis must have felt the anger rolling off him because she began to rub his chest comforting. It did not help at all. 'Why won't you tell me what's wrong? I can feel how angry you are.' She said to him through their connection.

His friends had formed a circle around the couch. Alexis got up and went to sit beside Lily on one of the armchairs. Turning to his father he waited impatiently for him to begin. 'Narvona was a human mated to a werewolf. As you know they fell in love almost instantly...' Lucas felt Alexis tense over their connection and he could guess why 'They didn't think anything of the paring they just knew they wanted to be together. So they mated and he claimed her and for a while they live in peace. Only for a little while...' His dad paused and look between him and Alexis trying to convey some unspoken meaning. He almost looked sad.

'What happen?' Alexis asked before he could. Everyone one was looking and waiting anxiously for what Alandro had to say.

'Soon after they mated they came for them. The first attempted fail to get them but they continue to attack. No matter where they ran they always find them. One day they came for them and they weren't so lucky, they fought but it was no use. They were unable to fight them off because they were too much. They killed him and his mate. But the made a mistake that day, Narvona wasn't supposed to die. They wanted her alive...'

'Why? Why was she so important?' Lucas asked frantically. He sure as hell couldn't imagine being chased by vampires all the time. Worst knowing he might not be able to protect his mate.

'They were destined to rule the supernatural world you see, not only the shifter community but the fairy, elves community and so on. The Masters of the vampires want that power and the only way to get that is to drink the blood of the female...' The room I enraptured in gasp. He was sure his mouth dangled open. Unconsciously he reached for Alexis who was already making his way to him. 'Come here love...' He whispered as he held his arms open for her. He could feel her body shaking when she came and sat in his lap. 'It's okay baby.' No one said anything for a while. Questions were swirling around in his head, so many things he wanted to know.

'Narvona was killed before they could drink her blood so their whole plan had failed. Now that another coupling has emerged I'm afraid history might repeat itself. They won't stop until they get your mate son. And the fact that she is pregnant is an added bonus. They will kill the babies too.' Lucas didn't realize he was growling until he felt Alexis rub his chest. There was no fucking way they were getting his mate.

'I still don't understand fully. You said something about them ruling the supernatural world?' His dad looked at him strangely before he took a deep breath.

'You and Alexis will be the king and queen of the world.' And for the second time in only minutes his mouth dropped open, only this time in shock.
