An hour later they were seated at a lovely restaurant called Masters, she personally didn't get the name. It was located just on the outskirt of town, very peaceful and secluded. Outside it looked like old cabin but very charming at the same time. Inside was a different story, it was very warm and beautifully decorated and furnished to perfection in gold and rosette designs.
Couples dominated the many tables, the romantic air and dim lights creating a mode for sheer seduction. But nothing was more beautiful than the person sitting across from her, who was currently smirking at her. 'Beautiful isn't it?'
'Yeah, it's nice and very peaceful. It weird though, who takes a cabin and turn it into a restaurant? But I must say it turned out pretty well.' Their waitress came then and took their orders, she picked a mushroom ravioli while Lucas ordered a stake. She watched how the waitress, Mary as her name tag suggests, talk with Lucas like they know each other. And she hadn't miss the way she was eyeing her boyfriend, Jealousy and a wave of possessiveness filled her with such force that it startled her. Before she could say anything Mary walked off to get their meals so she settle for a glare instead. 'You've been here before,' it wasn't question, it was an accusation. How many of his girlfriends had he brought out here?
He frowned at her as he seemed to be considering what to tell her 'Yes, me and my family have dinner here sometimes.' He told her simply and Alexis suddenly felt guilty for what she was thinking. 'Someone's jealous I see,' he smirked at her 'No need baby, she's got nothing on you.' She blushed at his comment.
'Of course I'm not jealous, I just don't want her standing here talking to you while my dinner is getting cold.' she was jealous but she wasn't about to let him know that.
'It's called jealousy love.' She almost swooned at the endearment. They talked for about silly things that had her laughing so hard, she never really realized that Lucas had a sense of humour. He told her about his childhood and all the things he did when he was young.
At one point he told her that he had glued leaves to his sister's hair and that his parents had to cut patches of her hair out in order to get the leaves out. She laughed so hard tears come to her eyes and she was grateful that she wasn't wearing too much make-up. 'She didn't talk to me for six months; she was really annoying when she was younger. Don't get me wrong she still is but less so now.' She knew he didn't mean anything from the way he spoke. He loved his sister to death and she could see it in his eyes and hear the fondness of which he spoke about his sister.
The waitress came then and place their dinners in front of them. She didn't say anything when she spend most of her time looking and ogling Lucas, to say she look at her twice was too much. But she wasn't going to let her ruin her mood, beside the fact that Lucas was smiling at her, she knew she had nothing to worry about. Mary huffed before walking off and she couldn't help but giggle at her fail attempt to capture Lucas' attention.
They ate in comfortable silence, her ravioli was perfectly delicious. Lucas seem to be joying his stake as he took big bites, he must have been really hungry. They had non-alcoholic champagne with their meals, apple flavoured.
'Did you enjoy your dinner?' Lucas asked her once they were finish and the waitress came and cleared their table; they were now having apple pie for dessert. 'Yeah it was great and this dessert is amazing. What about you?'
'Yes it was good for me.' A man came up to their table then, he was tall and look to be about 30 something. He was dressed in full white and had blonde hair caught up in a ponytail.
'Hey there Mr Montrel, I'm taking the food is to your liking?' He said with obvious respect in his voice. Why do they all treat Lucas like that, like he was their boss or something?
