"A friend is always good to have, but a lover's kiss is better than angels raining down at me."

"I can't seem to understand why their lives are so complicated." I ask her as we sit quietly on her couch one Friday evening. Enjoying the rerun of her favorite show, The Vampire Diaries.
"Well, maybe because their vampires?" She giggles. I look at her and admire how her face lights up every time she sees this actor. "What's his name?" Of course I know him. Ian Somerhalder. I'm really not into movies, or TV shows, but Stacey likes this show so much. I think we have watched this rerun twice already.
"Huh?" She glances back at me.
"That guy. What's his name?" I ask just to have her attention back at me.
"That? Oh, Ian. Somerhalder." He grins at me and glued her eyes back on the TV screen.
"You like him?" I smirk and she stops chewing on her pizza. If looks can kill, I would be dead by now.
"Well, yeah. He's really good with his craft. Acting wise, he really looks believable as a vampire." She says as she give me funny glances. "Are you okay?" She giggles again.
"Well, not really." I shake my head and she turns the TV off. She moves around so she can face me. The box of pizza on her lap. "What's wrong? Are you sick?" She puts her palm on my forehead and I cant help but laugh.
"Not like that. Those intense eyes though, I want them on me. Not on some actor you see on TV." My voice is too low, I bet she can hear the seriousness in my tone. The box of pizza almost slides off her lap when she bursts out on a pit of laughter.
"Jealous much? Oh God. Help me." She shakes her head while she tries to catch her breath.
"Yes I am. These eyes... Just on me. Got it?" I kiss her eyes and she just sighs.
"Got it." She nods and giggles. "Oh God I have to pee. Hold on." She moves out of my lap quickly and heads for the restroom.
"I'll get more sodas." I call after her and she just waves her hand hysterically while closes the door.
"You have a date tonight?" Her face says it all. With my phone on her hand, that definitely explains it. I just don't fully understand what she's talking about though.
"Date? yeah. With you. Right here, right now." I sit back on the couch beside her and hand her another can of diet coke.
"Really? Not some girl named Lucy?" She hands the phone back at me. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sneak around your messages. I accidentally opened it." She clears her throat before she takes a sip of her soda.
"Lucy?" Damn! That woman! She was Sam's girl but she keeps on sending me these flirty messages. Sam is aware of what she's doing and said he was okay with that. Who in the world would be okay if you girl is flirting with other men?
"Yeah. It says Lucy. And you promised her a date tonight? I don't really mind if you have to go, you know. We're almost done here, so you can just sneak off." She moves away from me and grabs the box of pizza from the table and takes a huge bite from the slice she got. I can almost hear the clogs on her brain working.
"Remember that drunkard who spilled wine all over your dress at the party? That's her. And she's Sam's girlfriend. I don't know where she got my number..."
"You really don't have to explain. No big deal." She puts the pizza back on the box and crosses her arms in front of her.
"Then why do you sound so pissed?" I chuckle. I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear but she moves further away from me.
"I am not..." She looks at me and I cant help but smile at her reaction. She's jealous.
"Yes you are." I try to pull her closer but she wiggles away. "Come here. Stop moving away from me."
"Nope. Just go Tyler." She tilts her can back and finish the soda until the last drop.
"I'm not going anywhere. Are you jealous?" I grab the box and put it down on the coffee table. I put my arm under her and move her on my lap in one swift move.
"Jealous? Of course not!." She looks away but I grip her chin with my hand so she can look at me.
"It's fine to be jealous baby. But really, there's no reason for you to be jealous. Can't you see, I'm having a super Friday night here with you." I pinch her nose but she just smirks at me.
"Yeah right. I bet you prefer to party all night, get drunk and bring a random girl home with you tonight." Oh God! She's so cute when she's acting like this. I cant stop myself from laughing.
"The only girl I want to bring home is the one in my lap right now."Her face went from smiling to being serious when I lower my lips to hers.
"How many women have you brought in that luxurious penthouse Tyler?" She suddenly gets serious.
"No one since the day I came to Canada a few weeks ago. I promise. Those women are from my past Stacey. They're not important to me. They mean nothing. You, are my everything." I lean closer to feel her lips against mine again. The kiss is innocent. Just enough for me to feel her warmth against mine.
"Uhmm... Why did you do that?" She whispers against my lips. Those intense eyes on mine.
"Well, maybe because I want to do that. Are you mad? Are you gonna slap me?" I smile at her and her eyes squint when she smiles back at me.
"Well, if you'll do it again. Maybe I wont." She leans closer and I take it as my queue.
I lower her down on the couch and brush my lips against hers. Feeling her against me wakes up my sleeping soul. I have never felt so overcome with feelings like this. She's the only woman who does this to me. Who turns my world upside down. Make a 360 degree turn in my life, yet I would still welcome the change with open arms. She consumes me.
Her arms tighten around me when I trail kisses down her neck. This is how I want to love her. I can feel how she longs for my touch. We show how we miss each other through our kisses. I've waited so long to have her back in my arms again. We are suddenly lost in our own piece of heaven.
Stacey's and Tyler's heaven.
