The future never gives away it's secrets, it only leave us guessing on what to expect. - Gunique (me)
Mark's P.O.V
The walk with my Mom and Georgia was just so relaxing. It's nice to be home every once in a while. Mom and Georgia got on well, unlike Carla. Enough of the past, focus on the future! We walked back home and Mom invited us to stay for dinner.
We agreed to do so and Georgia let her energy outside in the backyard. I walked over to Mom who was looking out the window, looking at Georgia. She had a light smile on her face and then she turned towards me. I walked closer and looked out to Georgia.
"She's a nice girl" Mom said
"I know Mom, she is so beautiful" I replied
"I hope that she lives longer"
"Wait, what do you mean longer?"
"Mark, she's still suicidal. She could end up taking her life again"
"I thought you approve of her?!"
"I do, it's just that you shouldn't fall so hard for her because she may not be there to pick up the pieces"
"Mom, that was just a thing that happened"
"It's not a thing Mark! It's heartbreak! I don't want you to follow ship if she dies!"
"She will not die! It won't happen"Mom sighed and shook her head. She Mom doubting Georgia? Georgia is not going to die, not by suicide! I have let her down once, I will not do that again! I can't lose my girlfriend! Mom kept on looking out the window and I saw that Georgia was playing with Buddy the dog. She laughed as she tried to avoid being licked on the face by Buddy. I chuckled and turned to my Mom who just gave me a sad look.
"Mom, what's wrong?"
"Mark, I'm worried that you have fallen too deep in love to realise her situation"
"I know her situations! She tried to commit suicide and she is depressed. She hasn't had many successful friendships and she knows that she means the world to me"
"Mark, not that situation"
"What situation then?"
"Don't forget, you are going to turn 27 and Georgia is 16. You are 10 and a half years apart. If you want to proceed with this relationship, you are going to have take your time. Also take in the fact that your relationship would have to be a secret with the law until Georgia turns 18. Even then, it may become too late to have children"
"Mom, I love her. I don't care about the law. If I have to keep our relationship a secret from the authorities then so be it but that doesn't stop me from loving her! We can get married in our own time and have children in our own time"
"So,you both have talked about this?"
"Georgia loves kids and has told me about the motherly touch. And she doesn't care about age so we could be engaged sooner"Mom concentrated on me and had a intrigued look to her face.
"Are you suggesting that you want to propose to her?" Mom questioned me
"At some point, yes. You have no idea how life changing she is until you unleash it from her"
"Alright, I take your work on it. If you want to marry her, then do so. But she is hurt because of you, your father would be disappointed in you. You know your father would want you to be with someone who brightens you up"
"I know that Dad would want me to be with someone who will help me, through the good, bad and ugly. And Georgia is that sort of person"Mom smiled and looked back out to Georgia who spotted us, giving a nice wave. We waved back at her and she continued playing with Buddy.
"Maybe she is that type of girl. So Mark, protect her and love her. She needs it" Mom advised to me
"I will I swear"
"Good"Georgia came back inside and we began on dinner. We all worked together to create a nice meal to eat. Georgia did the least work because she has the worst cooking skills but she didn't mind. She kept us on track. In the end, we had made a small roast. We sat down at the table and started eating our food. It was quiet but not awkward. Just peaceful! Mom looked at Georgia with a small smile and Georgia gave a big smile back.
"Georgia, is it okay if I talk to you in private?"
"Sure"Oh great.
Georgia's P.O.V
I stepped into another room with Mother and she sat down on a chair. What did she want to talk about that made us talk in private? I sat in eye contact of her and she sighed.
"Georgia, do you know how much you have affected my son?"
"Yes I do Mother"
"So you guys have talked about the future?"
"We have talked about the future a little. But in professional terms"
"So nothing personal?"
"Not yet but I do"Mother stood up and looked out the window.
"So would you say, that you would marry my son?" Mother asked me
"I would marry him when he feels ready"
"Would you have children?"
"Okay, something's going on, why these questions? If Mark has put you up to this then he needs to be a man and say it himself"
"Mark knows nothing of this, purely me. Now answer the question. Would you have children?"
"If he wants children but I don't know if I can have children myself"
"What do you mean?"
"I was born from an infertile mother. My chances of having children could be slim or none at all"
"Oh. So adoption would be your next call I presume?"
"You know me really well Mother"Mother chuckled and gave me a hand on my shoulder.
"Promise me one thing?" She said
"Okay" I replied
"You will not hurt my son to the point where he feels like he's not worth it"
"That's a promise, I swear!"

What was that all about?! There better be a good explanation! Thanks and Smilies!
