Chapter 1: 4 Months

Lucy's POV

  I skipped my way through the guild, not bothering to say hello nor greet them a 'good morning'. Not that anyone of them would notice my presence anyway.

  I sat on my favorite stool on the bar and waited patiently for Mira to finish her conversation with Cana. Luckily for me, Mira was one of the very few people who still acknowledges me ever since the Edolas incident that happened 4 months ago. Since Lisanna came back from supposedly being 'dead' years ago, she finally came home and reunited with the guild whom missed the white haired girl dearly.

  And ever since then, mostly everyone had started to ignore me. Except for a few whom i'm truly grateful to. I don't hate Lisanna though. I can't simply hate her for the actions of everyone else. Aside from that, we're really in good terms. I truly understand why everyone's attach to her. She's the closest thing to the word 'perfect' as she's beautiful, smart, sweet, kind and strong. Truly a great friend, i might add.

  "Hey, Lucy! Do you want something to drink?" The white haired barmaid called out to me which distracted me from my thought. A sweet smile playing on Mira's lips which made me smile back in return.

  "Sure! Can i have your Strawberry Milkshake?" I asked kindly which earned a nod from the model.

  "Coming right up!" She said enthusiastically as she danced her way back to the kitchen to make my drink, i guess.

  While she was away, i was continuously humming a song my mom taught me years back. Well, it's not actually a song. It's more like chant, a spell. I don't remember the whole of it though, just the chorus which was the most important part.

  "Lu-chan, you seem happy today. Did something happen?" Levy asked, popping out of nowhere which caught me by surprise. A small squeak escaped my lips as the petite blue haired girl infront of me merely chuckled nervously and smiled apologetically at me.

  "Levy-chan! You scared me!" I glared at her only to be countered with innocent looks.

  "Sorry, Lu-chan. Didn't mean to.." as you might guess, Levy's indeed one of the few whom never forgotten about me. She stood by my side, making sure i never felt lonely for one second. She didn't leave me, unlike the others.

  "Apology accepted. Just don't do it again or else i'll feed you to my pet wolf." I warned which made her shiver in fright. Surprisingly, a heavy hand slightly smacked me behind my head which made me grunt in pain.

  "Don't threaten her like that, bunny-girl." Gajeel, who was also the culprit who smacked me, chuckled.

  "Tch. You can't tell me what to do or not do." I countered, trying to act tough and quite masculine which made them laugh.

  Surprisingly, Gajeel also didn't ignore me. As a matter of fact, we're somehow close friends now. Shocking right? Well, not really since Levy, whom i presume caught the iron dragonslayer's interest, is my bestfriend. We were bound to get closer sometime later, right?

  "Here's your milkshake, Lucy!" Mira said, re-appearing with my drink.

  "Thanks, Mira!" I called back which made her smile at me.

  "Lucy.." I didn't need to turn around just to know who he is. We used to be close anyway, well until 4 months ago. His voice.. it feels so foreign in my ears.

  But there's something in his voice that makes me want to ignore him and just leave. It sounds serious, deep and troubled. And never once have i heard it from him. There's just something wrong and i have a bad feeling about it..

  "Uhmm, yeah..?" Despite the uneasiness i feel, i still ignored it and turn around. There, standing infront of me are my teammates. Wait, am i still included? I haven't gone on missions with them for the past months which lead me to do solo's.

  "Listen, Lucy.. We uhhhh need to add Lisanna on uhhhh Team Natsu which leads to-"

  "Which leads to you kicking me out? Am i right?" I finished his sentence, avoiding eye contact.

  "I'm sorry, Lucy.. It's just f-for temporary. We just missed her and we want to spend more time with her. But there's this rule that maximum of 4 people for team. It's just for weeks time." Erza explained.

  "But we won't continue on kicking you out if you don't like the idea! We'll just drop it!" Gray added.

  "It's fine. You can go and have fun with Lisanna. I've been going on solo missions for months anyways." I announced, not failing to cover up the bitterness on my voice.

  "What are-"

  "I'll just go up to Master to tell him our decision." I cut Natsu off before dashing to the stairs as fast as i could, trying to prevent the tears from falling.
