Chapter 20: Lucy and Max

Lucy's POV

As Max and I rushed back to the battle field, i can't help but smirk in confidence seeing that my spirits successfully eliminated three of the goons that was after us. That leaves us with more than half of the group. I forced closed the lion's and goat's gate to conserve magic. Giving my twin a side glance, i saw him nod at me. Smiling, i showed the same gesture. It seems that both of us have the same idea in mind. No surprise there. We are twins after all.

Standing back-to-back, we allowed the remaining five enemies to surround us. I closed my eyes and sighed. Concentrating, i prepared myself to cast a spell. I felt my brother doing the same. Mentally counting to 3, i unleashed the attack, the same time Max did.

"Celestial Dragon's Roar!"

"Celestial God's Roar!"

We attacked the ones that were infront of us. The field was consumed with bright golden light and dark grey light, blinding everyone for a few seconds. Once the spell vanished and my eyes fully adjusted, i saw our five enemies with bruises and wounds. They probably didn't expect our spell to be that powerful.

"W-What?! How c-can you still be t-that powerful?" raising an eyebrow at one of them, i felt offended but did nothing and allowed them to continue on with their rants.

"They should be weakened b-by now! The b-boy casted a p-powerful spell while the g-girl summoned two s-spirits! How can their a-attacks still be this powerful?!" Another one of them said, bewildered by our current status. Geez. Have they not realized yet? Sighing, i placed a hand on my hips and looked at my twin. He was watching the small exchange between our enemies with an amused expression.

"Should we tell them or just leave them in the dark?" I questioned. Max in response, just shrugged and snorted.

"Let's just finish them up. They deserve it after what they done to Kurt, Yuuki and Zach." Sighing, i faced our enemies before pointing upwards, to the moon.

"Look at the moon, idiots." As they did what i said, their eyes widened in shock. There were no clouds nor smoke covering the moon like before. Which means we now have full access to our strongest state or power.

"What-"

"I had my spirits take down the mage responsible for covering the moon. I knew he was one of you since the cloud or smoke was only hovering above us. It only blocked the views of the ones here of the moon. It only covered this angle. But if you were to look at the moon in another place, the cloud wouldn't be visible or be bother at all. It took them a while to find out who it was but did it nonetheless. " I explained while smirking proudly.

"W-What?! then-"

"Enough with the talking, on with the fighting! Celestial God's Burning Fury!" Max ran off and attacked two of them with his spell. Sheesh. The patience of this guy is surely thin..

With a sigh, i followed his lead. We fought the remaining enemies with our enhanced abilities and skills.

It didn't took us that long to defeat the remaining 5. They may be strong but we were currently stronger that before. They did made a grave mistake, though. By underestimating us, we completely overpowered them by showering them with whelming spells and attacks. In other words, we didn't bother to hold back. Seeing what they did to our family, me and Max made a silent agreement to give it our all. It was a great choice since we finished them off faster than i originally thought. That way, we get the chance to rest and heal our brother and cousins. As for the intruders, Max casted a spell on them called 'Godly Memory'. It's a powerful spell wherein he can temporarily erase someone's, in this case a group's, memories of the past few hours. Since he only 'deleted' their memories from 3 hours ago, the effects of the spell will only last for a month. They will surely remember bits and pieces of this encounter a few weeks from now. We did this to make sure they won't tell anyone about us. On where we are. Once assured the spell was casted right, i summoned Capricorn and asked him to bring them to the train station, buy them tickets to Crocus and make sure they get in the train. Since my spirit was exceptionally strong, he managed to carry those 8 goons like they weight nothing!

"We should bring them to my apartment." I suggested while we were walking back to the place we left the others. It wasn't that far since we reached it in less than 2 minutes. Like i suspected, they were still unconscious.

"We should. Is it far away?" Max asked, slightly lifting Zach-nii off the ground, preparing to carry him on his back.

"Not that far. I'll call some spirits to assist us." Fishing out Virgo's and Taurus' key, i twirled them infront of me and chanted the summon.

"I open thee, Gates of the Maiden and Bull! Virgo! Taurus!" The two mentioned spirits appeared on either of my sides.

"Punishment, Hime?"

"Your body is Moo~re beautiful than i last saw it, Miss Lucy!" I can only face palm at their crazy antics. Gosh! I can never get used to them!

"Uhh?" Groaning, i glared at my gawking and confused twin brother who was shifting his eyes between me and my spirits, in an amused way. I can't blame him. My spirits are indeed weird.

"I never punish, Virgo! And keep your perverted thoughts to yourself, Taurus!" not wanting to say more, i pointed at my unconscious cousins; Yuuki and Kurt-nii. They immediately got the message as they both carried them with ease. Virgo with Yuuki and Taurus with Kurt-nii. I know your wondering why i summoned two when Taurus is strong enough for the job. Like hell i'll let him carry Yuuki! He maybe my spirit but i don't trust his hands. You probably get what i'm talking about, right?

The walk back to my apartment was silent and fast. Once we reached my crib, i turned on the lights and guided then to the second floor. Since my place has now two bedrooms, including mine, i ordered Virgo to bring Yuuki to my room while Max and Taurus brought Kurt-nii and Zach-nii back to the extra room. It used to be just an empty room when i first moved in. Since it was large and spacious enough, i decided to make it into a guest room. I bought an average size bed, closet, drawers, curtains and cabinets for it on my first month here. Now, it looks like a common and average bedroom. That's fine, i'm not planning on sticking here forever anyway.

"Thanks, Virgo and Taurus. Send my regards to Capricorn as well once you saw him." With that, i summoned them back to the Spirit world. Sighing, i slumped down on my couch.

"You seem exhausted." My twin commented as he entered the living room. He shrugged and made his way to my kitchen, probably to look for something to eat.

"You have no idea. I was working the whole day then this fight happened. Geez, i'm so tired." Whining, i adjusted myself in the couch. Now, i was laying on my back, slowly drifting to sleep. Since we were now on my apartment, the effects of the moon died down. We were now under a roof, blocking the moon and its light, i can now feel tired and drained.

"You can't sleep there. It's uncomfortable. Go sleep beside Yuuki." I can only hum in response to my brother's orders. I have no strength left to do what he wants.

"Your still annoying and stubborn, you know that?" Without any warning, i felt myself being lifted in the air by a pair of strong arms. I can only sigh but didn't struggled or wiggled out of his hold. I heard a door creaked open, a sign that we reached my room. He gently laid me down on the soft and warm mattress.

"Sleep tight, Lucy. Don't worry. We're here to protect you. We won't let you feel alone ever again. I missed you, lil' sis.." i felt pressure on my forehead and heard a sigh and footsteps walking away. With a smile, i drifted off to sleep. For the first time months, i felt safe and loved.

"I missed you guys, too.."
