The next two days are pretty relaxed and nothing major happens. Of course there are the usual articles in papers and magazines as well as gossip shows and continuous people waiting for interviews. It’s through the media that the news spreads and spreads that Rachel and I are no longer in touch with One Direction. But I can’t even handle the thought of not talking to them every day.
The mole is also getting way out of control. She hasn’t ordered an article for a while, which is weird, so she targets us emotionally. She has somehow tricked the wires in our house to have a flickering light in the hallway which freaks me out every time. There is also the door to the living room which has mysteriously become unhooked from its hinge. It’s just little things but they freak me out, always in the back of my mind. Rachel doesn’t think much of it; thinks it’s just a coincidence. And yes it very well could be but I’m too scared to think rationally.
The bit that worries me the most though is how incredibly smart the mole is. How she gets inside the villa astounds me. I mean me, Rach, Jai and Luke are here fifty percent of the time and the rest of the time there are forty cameras trained on the house. I am only now truly beginning to understand how close she must be to me and how we must be such great friends.
The stress of this is too much. Everything is weighing down on my shoulders and I feel it isn’t going to be long until I just can’t get back up again. So I took the advice my blonde haired friend gave me. I wrote it all out. I filled 19 pages of my diary, venting this pain I feel of being alone and wishing I could just undo everything. As I finish, I close the A5 size, pale pink book and put it in the 3rd draw of the kitchen cabinet, feeling about 10 kilograms of this pressure lift off my shoulders.

We are sitting on the couch watching Friends again, when the phone rings. “Hello Maddy speaking,” I answer.
“Maddy! It’s me Georgie! Guess what? Ok don’t guess I have to tell you. I’m in town and we need to catch up!”
“Really? That’s so good. When are you free?” I ask, gesturing to Rachel that Georgie is on the phone.
“Well I’m free now, so why don’t I just pop around?”
“Oh ok, yeah sure come on over!”
She arrives in less than five minutes, not giving us much time to clean up the house. She must be staying really close. Rachel opens the door and is greeted with a friendly smile. Georgie looks different than usual but somehow it looks as though she is trying to cover it up. Her hair is much shorter than it used to be which could be due to a simple haircut, although it looks way unhealthier than I remember. What used to be long wavy golden brown locks with a shine that made everyone jealous is now just past her shoulder blades with dirty blonde streaks and frankly, the hair looks gross. It is worse than even Rachel’s hair which says something because she swims practically twenty-four/seven and chlorine is terrible for you hair.
Georgie has also put on weight and what was a beautiful summer glow is now orange and that tells me it’s fake. Her eyes are tired and she has and extra few layers of make-up on than usual. Don’t get me wrong, Georgie is still very pretty, more than most people, but she no longer possess’ those supermodel qualities that the whole country envied. She isn’t someone the boys would look twice at anymore.
Nevertheless, she is still my oldest friend and I’m going to enjoy her company while she is still here. “So what brings you to Brisbane?” I ask.
“Nothing much really, just thought I’d come in for a visit. I actually am here for one reason; I have a shoot with the executives from the Melbourne office of GHD. Shooting another commercial,” she says, not boasting at all.
