Once they had reached the castle, they found it had been taken over. But by who?

"How did this happen?" Snow asked.

"I don't know," Regina said looking at the force shield she had just touched seconds ago. "But I'm going to find out." Regina said turning back to the group. Regina's eyes found Robin who's eyes were already on her as well only his eyes were looking at something below Regina's eyes. She quickly shot a glare at the thief, sending the thief's gaze in another direction.

Robin had decided to come along with them on their journey to make sure they reached the castle safely, incase their was more creatures like the last coming after them. Regina had protested but Robin had not listened to her. Regina almost thought he did it just to irritate her.

"There are underground tunnels," Regina said looking towards Snow now. "Perhaps the shield doesn't go underground."

"So we can send in an army?" Snow asked.

"An army would be detected. No, I will go and lower the force shield, there's a fire in the castle that fuels it, I'll bring it down. Then you can send in your army." Regina said looking over her shoulder at her old home.

"How can we trust her?" Grumpy asked Snow from behind.

Snow looked at grumpy. "Because she's changed." Snow said and looked back at Regina and gave her a small smile. "Okay Regina will go threw with your plan."

"Great. I'll be going then,"

"Wo wait we need to be ready," Snow said. "Give us to the end of the day."

Regina sighed dropping her shoulders. "Fine."

By nightfall they had their army prepared. Robin had said he could bring his merry men to help fight and it didn't take him long to get his men and bring them back. That was when Regina met Roland. He was ruffly four years old. Robin said that Roland was his son.  She could see the resemblance in their dimples, but not much else the boy must resemble his mother more Regina thought. Although she hadn't seen his mother come to think of it.

Regina made her way to the bolder she knew to cover the entrance to her tunnels. She had to prepare herself to lift the bolder. Magic took energy, and now she only had one hand to perform it. Once she'd readied herself she brought her hand in an up words direction slowly, feeling the weight she was lifting. Once she had the bolder high enough she used all her energy to push it away to the side and watched as it dropped to the ground making a loud thud.

Regina could hear some leaves that had fallen in this fall season being crunched, being stepped on. Regina quickly turned around finding the source of the sound.

Regina let out a ugh sound.

"Happy to see you as well." David said walking down towards her.

"You're not."

"Not coming along? I do believe I am." David said almost with a smirk.

"I don't need help,"

"From what I just saw, your struggling with magic with that injury of yours." David said looking at Regina's arm.

"What, you can take out what ever has taken over the castle with your sword?" Regina said sarcastically.

"I can try." David said walking past Regina and down the steps leading into the tunnels.

Regina let out the same ugh as before and followed the prince down the steps.

The queen and the prince reached the end of the tunnels and approached an open door. "What," Regina breathed out. "That's impossible."

"What?" David asked.

"The door. It was locked before." Regina said astonished.

"Well someone broke in."

"This door was locked by blood magic. I'm the only one that can open that door." Regina said dumbfounded.

David brought his eyes down. He realized that since she was the only one that could open it that that meant she didn't have any family left.

Regina walked in without another word and David caught up with her. He followed her all the way up to what looked like her bed chambers.

"Stay there." Regina muttered.

David stopped where he was and watched Regina move to her vanity. She pulled out some potions and began to mix them in a thin glass.

"What are you doing?" David asked still staying where he was.

"Nothing that concerns you." Regina said staring almost hopefully at the liquid she was stirring.

David slowly walked towards Regina. "I said stay there." Regina said flicking her hand at his feet.

David didn't even look at his feet, he knew she had used magic on him.

"Regina what is that!" David began to yell.

Regina sighed. "It's a sleeping potion."

"But why would you need..." Then it all clicked for him. How upset she has been, the dead look in her eyes, her rushing to get to the castle. It was all for this. "No Regina you can't do that." David pleaded now knowing she had only planned on using that on herself.

"Watch me." Regina looked up at David who had gotten ruffly ten feet away from her.

David could see the tears that had formed in her eyes ready to overflow at any second. "But you'll never wake up."

"Not unless Henry finds me," Regina almost smiled saying his name. "Henry is the only reason I'd ever even want to wake."

David was silent. "Don't worry I'll lower the shield so you can send in your army. But then, then I go to sleep." Regina says looking at the needle as she walks away.

"Regina it will get better, you just have to give yourself a chance... a chance to mend." David said.

Regina stopped for a moment. She tried to not let David's words get to her, and she forced herself to walk forward.

Regina reached the balcony where the fire was lit and stood in front of it. She moved the needle to her other hand so she could use her good hand to lower the shield, then, taking a deep breath and raising her hand, she pulled it in a downwards movement. Slowly the force shield came down and she could see their army coming in. Regina moved to the edge of the balcony where stood a small concrete bench and she sat down staring at the needle in her hand.

The broken down queen brought the needle to her finger, hovering it just above her skin. She closed her eyes taking a deep breath and moved the needle towards her finger.

"Well that's rude" a voice sounded from behind Regina and she opened up her eyes. "I haven't even said hello yet and you want to kill yourself, I think that's a new record for me." The voice laughed wickedly and Regina turned to face the owner of the sinister voice.

"The wicked witch." Regina said.
