§ Part 1 §
___________Regina solemnly awaited at the double doors of the west wing of the castle. This part of the castle had been abandoned since she first stepped foot in this castle to many decades ago. The King had told her she was not to set foot on this side of the castle, it wasn't safe, he had told her. But of coarse she didn't listen to him and had ventured in the next day.
She remembered it was a grand room, when she was younger she guessed it to be a ball room. It had long panel windows to the left of the room that faced the back of the kingdom. There was a large sofa right by the windows that she would often sit in and read a book.
She had came to this room a lot in her spare time. Usually just to hide and get away from her life for a while. Even if it was just to read a book or lay down on that battered sofa for a moment. Like she hid herself in there she hid anything that mattered to her in that room. It's where her locket had stayed for a while along if other things she kept from her childhood.
That room was covered in dust and falling apart at the seems when she first walked into it, she wondered how deteriorated it had become over the years. She hadn't entered that room once after she became the Evil Queen. She turned away from that part of her life and never looked back.
Now this room would keep her hidden once more. The room would be the only one to know of what happened to her, what had happened to them. Just another memory she would keep secret.
Maybe the Evil Queen and Prince Charming weren't the kind of people who get so called happy endings. Their love certainly wasn't the kind you read about in fairytales. Their love wasn't normal, their love didn't make sense, it was strange, it was twisted, it was uncontrollable and unattainable. Maybe that was what caused it to crash so cruelly in the end, causing them to hide the mess they made of shattered hope and their broken love, under the covers. Leaving them an untold story to the rest of the world, hidden away...
David came just around the corner waking her from her deep thoughts and the second he walked into her sight she felt like crumbling. Her eyes connected with his sharing unspoken words only the two would know.
How unfair, the two had just came to mend one another only to completely shatter each other now. Sickly ironic. The universe had played a cruel joke with their hearts, leading them to believe there was a light in their dark tunnel of a life. The universe blew out that light and it hit like a slap to the face, leaving them in the dark and you could see the bitter remains that befall that action now in the two victims of the universe's careless fun.
Silence being the only thing between them Regina opened the door and David followed in suit behind her.
She was right, the room had deteriorated immensely since the last time she was in it. She could almost see her younger self sitting in that sofa reading a book, but when she blinked she saw it was only a vision and that sofa that she visited so many times was now broken. It's back leg had been snapped who knows how long ago and was leaning downwards.

Tearing her eyes from the scene she waved her hand and a pot appeared in the center of the room. A bubbly liquid came from the pot, she had already mixed all the ingredients in her room beforehand. All that was needed now was a heart, her heart.
