Regina woke up startled at the realization that the prince wasn't still with her. She looked from side to side but much to her dismay, he wasn't there. The utter feeling of loneliness gripped her and she held the bundle of blanket she used as a pillow for comfort. The thoughts of Zelena's threats still clear in her mind as well.
She deeply heaved a sigh and stood up from her pallet, walking out of her tent. She squinted her eyes at the sudden change of lighting. Though the sun was more than persistently shining threw the trees it was still chilly outside. Fall must be slowly turning to winter Regina thought as she rubbed her arms for warmth.
It wasn't long before the rest of the group woke and they all began to pack they're things. David glanced over at Regina who was currently sitting on a tree stump. He studied her quizzical face, her eyebrows scrunched together. She was concentrating on something and she looked worried like whatever she was thinking of truly pained her.
He wanted nothing more than to walk over to her and rap her up in a hug and embrace her, to tell her that everything was going to be okay. But he stood still, just watching and being pained himself by looking at her. He couldn't just hold her whenever he wanted. They had to keep themselves a secret, hidden to everyone around them.
"Come on let's go." Snows voice woke him from his trance.
Slowly everyone got up to start walking again, the speed of which they were doing it at only made Snow more irritated. Which put Regina in a slightly better mood at her displeasure. The entire walk back seemed to drag on for hours on end but finally they reached the castle which they called home.
Regina could not wait to get back to her bed chambers and rest for awhile, she took off her layers of dress cloaks and corset and the evil torturing devices known as heals and slipped on her black night gown. Snow White and Prince Charming were in the great hall discussing when and how they were going to find Glinda. Just one more thing that they couldn't agree one.
"We should leave first thing in the morning." Snow said.
"Snow if we are going to make a journey to the north of the dark forest we're going to need to rest up for a while, not to mention get the right preparations ready for it. It's nearly a months journey there and back." David pleaded. "And that's if we go on horse back."
"We have to find her so we can stop Zelena!" Snow shouted.
"Hey, Snow, calm down. We will go and find Glinda, just in a few days time." David tried to reassure her but she was being outrages.
"Why can't you just agree on something with me!" Snow said, keeping her voice raised.
By this time Regina had woken from her nap and she looked outside to see it was nearly dark outside. "What the hell are they doing." She muttered before stepping out of bed. She walked out of her room and down to the great hall where she found the door cracked open. Her bare feet stuck to the marble floor when she walked closer and she hoped they didn't hear her. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she looked through the slight opening of the door.
Snow's face was turned away from the door and David was facing towards her so Regina had a good view of him. She watched as the fire from the fireplace glowed across his face as he listened to Snow's yelling.
"Don't you want to make this work again?" Snow asked her voice finally brought down some. "Make us work again?"
"I- I..." David fumbled over his words.
