My alarm went off at 6 am. I got 3 days off from work as I've been sick lately. Like really sick. Cough, high fever, flu, sore throat. But I couldn't bare seeing any more gross delivery man. I needed to get some groceries.

Alfie was still soundly asleep beside me.

I sat up in bed, my hand covering my mouth. I ran to the bathroom and vomited straight to the toilet bowl.

I was sitting on the cold tiles in the bathroom. A light knock on the door made me look up from my spot in front of the toilet. Alfie slowly opened the door, giving me a small smile.

"What's wrong babe?" he asked.

"I don't know, just terrible nausea. I have the worst gag reflex ever," I joked before I felt nauseous again.

I cleaned myself. I was feeling better and made breakfast. I was starving.

My meal was ready in 5 minutes & while I was waiting, I made Alfie's breakfast.

"You're feeling better?" asked Alfie.

"Yeah. I think my period is coming soon or something," I said while I munch on my breakfast.

I saw the sad face on Alfie's face while looking down on his meal.

"Hey, what's with the sad face?" I asked while slapping his face gently.

"I thought you were pregnant," he replied.

"Really? I'm currently at the edge of death. And all you care about is a baby. I thought you said you didn't care. Ha, I guess people change."

I was getting angry and I threw my food away and stormed off. I suddenly felt a painful headache building up.

I was getting drowsy and dropped to the floor. Alfie got off the chair and went up to me.

"Fel, fel are you feeling bad again?" he asked.

"Just a headache, help me up please," I asked.

He carried me bride-style to the couch.

"Feeling better?" he asked while kissing my forehead.

"Yeah... Don't worry, I have medicines."

"You need to see a doctor babe, you almost fainted." he replied while giving me hugs.

"Nah, it's nothing. It's almost 8, you need to go to work."

"I love you, anything just call me."

"I love you too." I replied while getting up.

I waved goodbye through the window as he drive to work. I walked to the bathroom and checked the calander.

"Wait... I'm late." I thought to myself.

It's normal I guess. I got ready and went to the supermarket. As I was walking towards the supermarket, I bumped into Shalyn.

"Fel, what happened to you? You've seen better days, really."

"I'm just really, really sick. And I need to get some groceries. Come on, let's go." I replied as I pushed the trolley into the supermarket.

"Are you really okay though? Your eyes, nose, li-"

"Are we getting groceries, or are you just going to continue commenting on my appearance." I replied her as she wouldn't stop talking.

I ticked off my groceries list and went to the cashier. While I was at it, something took my attention.

An pregnancy test.

My period is late, nausea and not feeling well. Just a try. We quickly finished our errands and made a quick stop to Starbucks.

"What's new with you?" Shalyn asks.

"Nothing, really. Thinking of getting my masters degree."  I replied.

"You and studying. Take a break, seriously. What about children? Are you guys having them soon?"

"I think we're not going to have children,"

"Are you barren?!" she asked, shocked.

"No, I just don't want them."

"Come on, you have a huge house, only two people living in the house must be boring."

"Yeah, it does sometimes. We can get a smaller house, anyways." I joked.

"Are you afraid of something?"

"Childbirth. Death."

"It's very rare this days for woman to die during labor. The pain is bearable, trust me. I had two, and I don't think I'm done yet." replied Shalyn as she looks over to her phone.

"Stop it you. I'm gonna stick to my decision, no matter what." I replied.

"Whatever you say, both Taylor & Eli just had a kid. You're missing out."

I managed to twist the doorknob and settled all my things down at the kitchen. I searched the pregnancy test from the groceries bag and then I went inside the toilet.

"Pee on the stick, to determine if you're pregnant," The instructions read.

First of all, how the fuck am I suppose to pee in this little stick? Like am I suppose to put it somewhere, aim and pee or what?

I managed to pee on the stick and waited for 6 minutes. I checked the pregnancy test and it shows.

Positive.

From this point on, I felt like burning that stick and just ignore the fact that there's a human being inside of me. Fuck it, I'm gonna act like I never took a test, and I'm not going to tell Alfie.

I ran to my bed and cried on my pillow. I cried all night long.

What is taking Alf late, it's already 10 pm.

"Hey babe," whispered Alfie as he lays beside me in bed.

"Holy crap, you scared me. Why didn't you knock on the door or something,"

"I just wanted to suprise you,"

"Well, you succeeded anyways. So how was work?"

"Not much. Go to sleep. Sorry I made you wait for me to be home."

"Who said I was waiting for you? Psh." I replied.

The nausea came back. And it was in the middle of the night. I ran to the bathroom as fast as I could.

I vomited so much, and it's disgusting.

"You okay babe?" Alfie asked in his sleepy voice.

"Yeah, just stay in bed and continue sleeping," I replied.

He kicked the blankets off and walk towards the bathroom. I was knelting in front of the toilet bowl, immediately emptying my stomach.

I didn't hear Alfie walk into the bathroom, until he knelt beside me.

His hands were on my back, rubbing softly.

"Why didn't you wake me up," he asked.

"It's disgusting."

"Come on Fel, this happens. Are you still sick?"

"I think it's just some food poisoning." I replied.

"You need to see the doctor,"

"No, no just no. It will go away soon,"

"Fine then,"

He kissed my forehead as my stomach begun turning again. I lend over the toilet, being sick again.

Alfie sighed, feeling horrible that he couldn't make me feel better. He pulled my hair away from my face, holding it in one hand, the other still on my back.

I took a deep breath, resting my head on his shoulder.

"Let's go back to bed?" he asked.

"Yeah sure."
