/Alfie's POV/

Felisha appears to be resting, the stress her body had just experienced was, overwhelming, to say the least. Her eyes lay shut, her brow beaded with sweat, and her short, shallow breathes, come and go seemingly, without effort.

The atmosphere of the room is calm, and the feelings of joy and relief radiate from me.

"Sweetheart?" Alfie softly speaks to me,"Look, our babies!"

She stir, her head turned to the side and slowly pries open my eyes. A weak smile graces her face at the sight of our children & Alfie.

She tried to speak, it comes out, merely a mumble,"They are perfect,"

Suddenly, Felisha started to convulse, as her eyes roll back, and she squeeze out a spine chilling groan.

Alfie yells for the doctor, "Something is wrong! Help her."

Alfie stands, watching the horror unfold.

The doctors darted into the room to check on Fel.

Alfie can't be sure of what is being said by the voices sound panicky. Their tones is unnerving to him. Fast paced beeping comes from the machines that Felisha was, no doubt, currently attached to.

Alfie's eyes dart around the room, from a wall, to the floor to a clock, to the door, again and again. The unknown happenings behind that door gives him a terrible uneasy feeling.

His heart hasn't slowed a bit, though it does skip a few beats, when he suddenly hears the sickening, steady sound, "Beeeeeeeep..."

For what seems like an eternity, time stands still.

Silence fills the air as a nurse shut off the heart monitor. A look of despair falls over the other doctors. Losing a patient is bad enough, but when their spouse is present and witness to the entire ordeal, it only makes things harder.

The doctor, with a heavy heart, gives Alfie his condolences,"Sir... We are sorry, we couldn't safe your wife."

Alfie walked inside the room, to see Shalyn crying her eyes out while the nurses was covering the body.

Shalyn goes up to Alfie and gave a hug.

"Fel.... She passed away," said Shalyn between sobs on the phone with Elizabeth & Taylor.

Taylor hunged up the phone in disbelief while Elizabeth was crying on the phone too.

Shalyn left the hospital and it was left with Alfie & the twins. "We are all here for you Alf. Call me if you need any help with children."

Alfie lifted the cloth which covered Felisha's body. Her face was pale and unbelievably beautiful. "I love you so much Felisha." he murmurs.

Overwhelmed with mixed emotions, the sorrow of his loss and joy of his gain, Alfie pulls the car from the parking lot, and proceeds back the way he had come. He thinks in bewilderment, at how much has transpired in such a short time.

Only a few terrifying breaths ago, he was a husband and an expectant father, and now, he is only a father and a widower.

The drive home is eerily quiet. The twins is sleeping soundly, bundled in the blanket, at the back of the car.

Alfie's mind still presses on ceaselessly, his demons have a strong grasp in his thoughts. He looks at his children as they lay dreaming.

Felisha's words started to run through his mind.

"I don't want kids."

"What if something happens to me?"

Alfie's heartstrings have been snapped like twigs, and he can't even bring himself to smile at them. As he stares at the twins.

"This two evil children, is responsible for Felisha's death,"

The longer he stares at the twins, the more disgusted the look on his face becomes. Deep down Alfie knows it isn't true, but his demons keep telling him.

Alfie winces at the thought, but he doesn't know how much longer he can ignore them.

Alfie looked to the side and sees a reflection of Felisha. Alfie knows he's strong, he can do it. He loves his children & Felisha.

Alfie & the twins reached the house.

"We are here," he mumbled.
