"Surfing."

That was the first thing that came out of her mouth when we sat down in our little corner. I was confused at first, but then I realized. Her hidden talent was surfing.

I would have never thought that surfing was something she enjoyed, but she somehow learned to amaze me everyday.

Today was the day we were supposed to present our projects to the rest of the support group. I was quite nervous. Not because of the presenting part, but because of what I put at the very end of my like list. I was terrified and my heart was beating so fast in my chest.

I prayed that Mrs. Eva wouldn't pick on us to go today. Maybe we could hold off until next week, but, of course, I was not that lucky.

Courtney and I were the third group to go up. She was shaking beyond belief and I had the urge to wrap my arm around her shoulders for comfort, but I knew she wouldn't like that.

Mrs. Eva made Courtney go first as I sat our poster board on the easel that was set up for us. I made sure to cover my side of the board with my body until it was my turn.

"Um, I like vanilla pudding a lot along with yogurt and chocolate chip cookies I used to eat at my old school. Pizza is my favorite food to eat and I like shopping with my best friend, Hope. My favorite tv shows are The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, and Boy Meets World. I really relate to the character of Shawn Hunter off of Boy Meets World and Hanna and Spencer are my favorite Liars. My favorite bands are the Fray, Switchfoot, Paramore, Lifehouse, and Owl City."

Courtney's voice was very quiet, but strong. She was still shaking uncontrollably.

"Tobuscus is one of the funniest people on Earth and I really enjoy his Youtube videos. I have three siblings: Eli, Nathan, and Ginger. I really miss them along with one of my good friends, Tanner."

Her explanations were very short and I didn't blame her for not going more in depth. I was glad that she could go sit back down, but that meant I had to present now. Hopefully, I didn't totally ruin Courtney's opinion on me.

I began to list off my favorite TV shows and my friends and family that I missed from back home. I made sure to include a picture of Josh when he had green hair, which was the most recent pic I had of him. I even explained my love for music a little bit, but then I finally I reached the last item on my like list.

"And finally, I really really like Courtney Annabel Akehurst."

When I turned my head to see Courtney's reaction, I was greeted with the door slamming shut.
