Tyler confronted me today.

Well, I wouldn't exactly say confronted. He wasn't hostile or anything, just curious, I guess. He did deserve answers, especially after my response to his poster board.

He must have figured out my schedule because he was waiting for me in the cafeteria when I went to get my lunch. I didn't have an exact time to go get my lunch, it just had to be before everyone else got theirs. I was the mystery patient that not many people knew about.

All they knew was that I had been here much longer than everyone else and that my condition must be really bad if I didn't have to attend regular school. I was the only patient that didn't have to do much of anything. That was probably why Tyler begun to develop feelings for me.

Back on topic, Tyler wanted to just talk to me. At first, he just made civil conversation, but he finally got to the real reason why he was waiting for me.

He was very blunt and just came out with it. He wanted to know why I was in a mental hospital. Obviously, I stayed silent. My signature was not talking. I wasn't going to talk just because he wanted to know why I was considered crazy.

Tyler began to guess, but I think he already knew. He just wanted me to think that he didn't know, but I was more clever than he thought.

My silence begun to annoy him because he decided to just go ahead and say it.

"Are you schizophrenic, Courtney?"

The look on my face gave it all away because he sighed. "So having a relationship would make your condition worse?"

I actually responded to him this time. My voice was very soft. "Possibly, Tyler."

Tyler ran a hand through his hair. He seemed stressed. "Okay, if that is the case, Courtney, it doesn't matter if you didn't like me back or not. We shouldn't have a relationship if it's going to keep you in here longer. So can things go back to normal?"

He wanted me to forget that he liked me which was very hard to do. Nobody ever had a crush on me in my life and when someone did, it was a huge deal. I just couldn't forget it, but I could ignore it.

I gave him a small smile and Tyler took that as a yes, but before he could say another word. Mr. Baker came in the cafeteria. Tyler seemed to shrink back.

After I got my lunch, Mr. Baker wanted me to come in his office to discuss an important matter. Tyler looked like a deer in headlights as Mr. Baker said hi to him.

I told Tyler bye and followed Mr. Baker to his office. I didn't expect the news he gave me.

Tyler broke into his office and stole my file.
