Deceiving

"No buts...you guys will stay here today...and besides you guys look so tired to go home" Shine said politely but it sounded more of a command. They followed Shine and head to different guest rooms allocated for them while Shine head to her own room and ready to sleep too.

"Yuzu believe I am alive and it's enough assurance" Shine said in a low voice. She embraced herself and she happily sleep.

Canadian Nationals Championship had passed but Yuzuru is not there.

"He said 2 to 3 weeks right?" Shine's inner self said, worried.

Shine is still waiting everyday for him; every text that she received, she wished that it was from him but it wasn't.

"he said he will come...have more faith in him" Shine said in her mind.

The European Championship had also arrived and passed but still there is no Yuzuru and not even a single message for Shine or Hana.

Since Canadian National Championship and European Championship was over and as expected Nam and Javi both won the gold medals. And with Yuzuru, also the Japan National Championship gold medalist, the club is organizing a huge victory party for them. There are people coming in and out of the club, they bring tables and chairs here and there - it's a total chaotic scene. Despite of the chaotic and noise of the club, Shine is still lost in her mind and stare blankly.

"Why is Yuzuru not texting me or Hana?" She asked herself -it's the question that's been bothering her for a while now.

Monika snap her finger in front of Shine's face and asked her " Are you okay?" as she see Shine is quiet but seriously thinking about something.

"No" Shine's inner self said.

"Huh?... yes" Shine said instead, as she came back to her senses.

"What are you thinking about so seriously?" Monika curiously asked.

"Nothing! I was just thinking if Yuzuru is okay?" Shine casually said to Monika.

"Huh? Why?" Monika asked, intrigue.

"Well, I haven't heard from him again since the new year" Shine said truthfully with a worried expression.

"Since...New... Year?" Monika repeat herself slowly as if she heard Shine wrongly.

Shine nodded and asked Monika "why?"

"He texted me before and after Nam's competition and he texted me again just after Javi's" Monika said unsure if she did the right thing of telling that to Shine.

"Oh..I see..I guess I am worrying over nothing" Shine said making it sound like she's okay but she failed.

"I'm sure he has a reason" Monika said to cheer up Shine, as she see that Shine is sad after she said those things.

Kazumi approach the front desk -she is on her phone.

"Hahaha..Oh YUZU! you are so funny" Kazumi said loudly in nihongo. Shine give Kazumi her keys and Kazumi bow.

"...I am excited to see you too" Kazumi smirk to Shine before she head back to the ice rink.

"Ha ha ha Yuzu!" Monika copy Kazumi exaggeratedly. Shine laugh at Monika's impersonation of Kazumi.

"Stop it Monika" Shine said and for a moment she forget how sad she is about the fact that Yuzuru is texting and calling everyone except for her.

"Hello ladies" Nam greets them with a wide smile as he and Javi approached. Javi wave his hands to Shine and Monika.
