A Dragons Mate

Kyle coyldnt look straight.  He thinks he just saw a dark reign. He went into panic mode. He knows what he saw. Green eyes,blackish purpleish body, long wings.

Kyle looked down at the book that was in his hands. He found it unfair that they got to shift 4 years earlier then dragonlights. He also hated that they where stronger and more advanced,but that may explain why they where the rulers all these years.

He had to tell his parents that there mortal enemys where still alive. Or where they mortal? Who knew. They where gone for all these years,nobody knew where they were or how old they may be or how old they live to.

"Kyle,"Cassie screamed. He charged towards the window,and his evidence was in front of him flying above the village. A dark reign. This one looked to be very old. Its hair was a little grey in some spots.

Kyle pushed his sister behind him. Cassie held their little brother back when he came to the window.  The dragon stopped and looked at the soon to be king. It then swooped down and grabbed Kyle in its claws then headed out to the forest.

It went to the deepest parts of the forest. Parts not yet known to his people. It released him and watched as he fell to the ground then landed on a rock.
Kyle stood up and retracted his sword. The old dragon smiled and laughed.
"Do not bother young prince.  I do not wish to fight you," it spoke. Kyle just looked over at it and dropped his sword along with his mouth.
This made the old dragon chuckle.
He walked towards the grond and layed there. Kyle then grabbed his sword and placed it back in its holder.  He then stepped towards the great dragon

" I may be old but I am wise. I know you had seen me within the woods dear boy," it said. Kyle stepped forward and sat down on a rock,listened to the great beast.

"I come from way back when the Dark Reign and Dragonlights where equal and my kind where in power," he started.

"Your people treated my ancestors like slaves," Kyle said interrupting.

"Only after the one king took over,we where kind and peaceful and..."

"Lord Rondelle," a girlish voice said from afar.  Her voice made Kyles heart soar. Maybe it was her,his mate.
He needed to see her.

But Lord Rondelle pushed him behind a tree and made sure he wasnt looking at the sweet thing.

Maddie came out from another tree high up. " what are you doing up there my dear?" He asked her. She smiled and jumped to the ground.

"Looking for you. You arnt supposed to be out of the cave this early in the day," she said to him.

"I know my dear,but i thought I saw someone walking through the forest. I wanted to stop them before they got any closer to you my dear," the old dragon said.

"I can take care of myself, Rondelle. Im a tough girl. If those dragonlights get here they will find out what happed to those people they abandoned long ago," she said.

Kyle held his breath. 'She is one of them. She is a dark reign' he thought. No wonder he never found her. She is one of his peoples enemys . But why was she saying they abandoned them. There where more?!!

"Take it easy my dear. I know you are tough but so are they. We will be ready when he comes back,"Rondelle said. 

'Come back?!! Who will come back?' Kyle thought.

"I sure hope so. That man will die for what he did to us. However,living in the woods isnt so bad,"She said finding a rock to sit on.

"Very true,my dear. Shouldnt you be in a dress as well?" The wise dragon asked. Keeping his eye on the tree that kept Kyle hidden.

"Since when do I wear dresses," she said.

"Good point," the wise one said.

"Well I should be getting back. Mother and Father will be looking for me," she said before jumping on high rocks and trees.

"Who is that girl?"Kyle asked Rondelle.  "Princess of the Dark Reigns. A magnificent girl. Her name is Maddie. She doesnt act like a princess,though. Which is why everybody loves her,Why u ask?"He said.

"I think Maddie might be my mate,sir,"
