His eyes watched the people as they came in through the door. Glitz and Glammour, sparkles and patterns. his father knew how to throw a party. In more ways then one. In a way it was how he met his mother.

Kyle looked at the crowd as more and more started to pile in. All of the woman turning to catch a glance at him. He was having a stern but polite face, it was something his mother tought him when he was little. The really single ladies smirked at him, curtsied and in a way tried to make themselves look more appealing, he just couldnt stand it.

In the end, there was more of those types then anything else. Turning, he even noticed the one maid all dressed up and presentable. He found it odd since they usually werent allowed to be a part of the dances and stuff, but he knew his father and mother wouldnt punish them for having a little fun.

Besides, most of them got their work done and still managed to get things throughout the night.  His head started to spin a bit as he just stood there waiting for his cue. He could feel his outfit constricting and holding his movements in place, it was starting to get harder to breath and he hated it.

He never understood why people had to wear this kind of stuff. Let alone, men. He supposed the women would have to wear it a bit more so, just a bit differently, or at least the royals. Cause the more he thought about it, he didnt see Maddie wear such constricted clothing the last time, or at least any that seemed over the top in a way.

More and more piled in, and Kyle couldnt believe how many where invited. Originally he had thought it was just people that his family knew or at least wanted to set him up with, but it was more. Much more. Like the whole kingdom was invited.

As time went on, he was getting more and more tired from just standing there and greeting people. Kyle was pretty sure that his father saw him slightly nod off. He knew his mother did, for when he looked her way she slightly chuckled.

But at last, the very last of the guests had arrived and as the crowd gathered, Kyle went over by his parents and siblings and stood as if he was posing for a painting, one of the many that lined the ballroom.

"My people, I welcome you," His father started. The crowd cheered and praised, but not enough to cause alarm. His father kept going on and on. About how he was happy to celebrate some occasion, honestly, Kyle dozed off and went somewhere in his mind, but still looked as sharp as ever.

He finally "came too" when his faters speech was just about done and he heard the music. After which, the rest of his family disperssed into the crowd for some fun. He really didn't want to go down and greet these people, yet again. He knew that would take forever and he might just fall asleep yet again.

He started to walk down the stairs leading to the ballroom, before he knew it, he looked out into the night. Imagining what Maddie might be doing at the moment, but before his mind wondered off yet again, he noticed a bird flying up into the top of the castle.

What exactly it was, he couldn't tell, but it looked to be a very dark bird. He looked around and noticed that no one was really looking at him, so he snuck off to go see where the bird might have gone.

However, before he got much further up the stairs, he somewhat ran into a woman in the corridor. Looking down at her, he recognized her, even if her fan was somewhat covering her face. But he didn't have time to figure out why she was dressed the way she was or even upstairs.

"Excuse me ma'am," He said bowing to her and then rushing off upstairs. Judgeing from where the bird laded, it was in one of the bedrooms. All of them have a balcony outside the door that lead to the center of town, it made it easier to present either the newlyweds, a new child, or an announcement. Or with him and his siblings, easier to play tag in multiple rooms.

He charged into the first available room, which just happened to be his sisters, but no luck. He ran to the door that lead outside, only to find that the door to his room was wide open, and he for sure knew that he didn't leave it like that when he was done getting dressed.

Slowly walking into the room, he turned all around. Nothing was to be seen. He let down his guard, only for it to be a mistake.

"Quit an interesting room, your Highness," A womans voice said. He turned back towards his bed to find her sitting on his pillow. "Relax, I am not here for a rondevou and such," She said. He relaxed and found a chair and sat down. "Who are you?" He asked, still slightly tensed.

"I am Dalia, a member of the Raven tribe," She said. He just looked confused.

"You didn't think that you where the only creatures to change into animals, did you?" she asked. He didnt answer and she just laughed in the end.

"I am one of the last in my tribe. Any way, I bring you a note from Miss. Maddie. And it is not good," She said. Kyle stood up, the color draining from his face. Dalia handed him a slip of paper, which he grabbed ever so slightly.

Opening it and reading, his heart almost dropped. "Why,How?" He asked.

"Dragons don't live forever, even ones that are literal dragons to begin with. I'm afraid that our dear friend is on his last breath," She said. She got up off the bed and walked to the balcony. Kyle rushed after her and grabbed her pale arm.

"Where?" He asked.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you. You have business here, and I need to go help a friend,"She said. Walking off towards the edge, he noticed a purple glow and then folded into herself. Feather started to form and her body shrunk. The black hair in a pony tail folded and before he knew it in front of him stood a raven on her perch, of course that would explain the tribe as well as the dark colored bird that flew up.

Before he could talk to her yet again, she flew off into the night. He then ran back into his room and contemplated on what to do. He couldn't leave, however he knew that Maddie needed him as her friend moved on.

Just as he had made his decision, a knock on the door happened, and it was what he didn't want. The maid came rushing in, however, he hid on the balcony. Looking through the reflection of the mirrior on his wall, he could see her rummaging through a few things, probably to find some dirt on him, no luck in there.

But she still kept going, and before long, he watched her leave in a huff, probably upset either to find nothing or to not find him hiding somewhere, she was fishy, he could give her that. But he didn't have time tio figure it out, at least not right now.
