The king glanced at his kingdom. The beautiful buildings and fields. He glanced behind him to see his wife lying in their bed.

It was just before sunrise and he had woken up early to see the sun. For 30 years he has watched over his people, and kept them safe.

Now in a couple weeks he will give it to his son. For his son was almost 20. He will shift and get the crown. And hopefully marry a wonderful woman.

The king loward his head. It had been 2 years since he turned 18. He should have found his mate by now,but he hadnt.

He made a choice that he would make an arrainged marriage for him. Maybe that would encourage him to find her. He heard a sigh which brought him out of his thoughts.

He turned and found his mate turning on her back. He faced the sun again. His oldest daughter had already found her mate. He wasn't happy that she was with a boy. But she found her other half and was happy. Which made him very happy.

"Kent? What are you doing up so early?" His eyes darted to his wife. She rested her head on her elbow staring at her husband.

Kent glanced at his wife as she looked into his eyes, those same eyes that he still adored from when they first met in school.

"I was watching the sunrise,Abby. Would you like to watch it with me?" He asked her. She had gotten our of bed and walked towards him.

She sat on his lap and kissed his cheek. "I would love to," she said. They smiled as they watched another perfect day welcome them.

As the sun rose, they placed a kiss on each others forehead. She smiled at him then moved to their closet to pick out her dress for the day. King Kent had already gotten dressed and made his way to the dinning hall to greet his kids.

As he opened the door, he saw that there was an extra person joining them for breakfast. It was his daughters mate,Jake. He walked over and patted his youngest sons head,Anthony was his name.

He then placed a kiss on Cassies head, he gave Jake a nod with a smile and Jake gave him a smile and bowed his head in respect. He then sat down and looked at his eldest son,Kyle. But today he noticed that Kyle looked a little upset.

His birthday is in a couple weeks, nobody likes a king upset on his birthday. The door opened and in came Abby in a purple gown with her hair all done.

She kissed each of her children, even Jake. But she too noticed Kyles frown.Walking over to her spot next to him,she placed a palm on his shoulder. He looked up at his mother and gave her a little smile.

She liked the little smile, but wished it was the smile she adored as he was growing up.
She looked at her husband,worried.

He glanced back at his eldest and decided that he would have a talk with him. He patted Abby's hand and gave her a smile. She gave one back, but when he wasn't looking, she rolled her eyes. She knew that their talks ended up with one of them falling out of the balcony like last time.

"Kyle, may I speak with you in my office when breakfast is over?" He asked. Kyle nodded his head, knowing what the coversation would be about.
