It was the morning after the engagement party now the three cousins were sitting in Anna's room as Elsa was combing Anna's hair before the royal seamstress could get her hands on Anna to prepare her for the wedding."You know; Chief Hiccup really is a really swell guy." Rapunzel said as she sat on Anna's bed with her feet crossed up, holding a hot mug of coffee , watching her cousin get her hair styled for her wedding. Anna spun around with an excited look on her face. "I know! He was so nice when you introduced him to me and Kristoff. I even told Elsa the same thing but she doesn't share my opinion.". Elsa raised an eyebrow at her. " I don't share your opinion because I haven't formed a solid opinion on him yet, and don't tell me you have started to call him by his first name as well, Rapunzel?" Elsa said, directing the last part to her cousin who merely grinned at her." He hates it when people are too formal with him ,you know, he told me that last night, so I'm really just showing consideration." Rapunzel answered , taking a sip from her mug ,as Elsa shook her head." I cannot go around calling a man, a Chief no less, that I have just met by his first name! It would arouse too much gossip." Elsa added.Anna looked at Rapunzel with confused eyes. "What do you mean? I Rapunzel was calling him by his first name and nobody seemed to be bothered by that. ". Elsa rolled her eyes."It's not the same. She's married and so will you be. And everyone knows you are far too friendly for your own good." Elsa said with a gentle tug on Anna's hair as her younger sister stuck out her tongue at Elsa. "And besides... Aren't you about to get married in a few hours? I don't think discussing the looks of other men is a healthy practice." Elsa asked with a raised eyebrow as Rapunzel scoffed. "It's not like Anna is talking about running away with him".Then Anna's eyes widened as something dawned in her. "Wait! How is Eugene taking the competition?"She inquired
At her question Rapunzel laughed. "Surprisingly well actually. He pouted for a while this morning when we met two maids in the corridor and they simply gave him a glance before they walked on whispering. But it is good for him not to draw all of the attention if you ask me." She said.
"I cannot believe we are still discussing this." Elsa muttered as Anna and Rapunzel giggled at her."Relax a little! We are just evaluating your guest, isn't that what you wanted us to do?" Rapunzel said with a grin."Yes, but this is not what I meant and you know it! Besides, now I am starting to worry that one of the maids will try to pursue him.I might be more oblivious to gossip than you two but even I could see the amount of female attention Chief Haddock was getting.And it's unhealthy for our reputation. ".Rapunzel rolled her eyes at her uptight cousin.
"I spent the entire evening with Chief Hiccup last night and I can tell you Elsa, he may not have been raised as a nobleman, but that man is both more intelligent, compassionate and respectful towards women than any of those noble boys who prance around as if they own the world. Thinking he would do anything like that, it is not fair to his character."
"I agree." Anna nodded, a serious expression on her face.Elsa and Rapunzel raised an eyebrow at her. "How would you know that? You barely talked to him for three minutes yesterday. Anna had the expression of a little child caught red handed."Well. ... I overheard some maids gossiping about how one of them tried to ask him on a date and he refused her respectfully.". Rapunzel gasped softly and Elsa clenched her teeth. It seemed that her staff was hell bent on trying to ruin their reputation and goodwill. If word spreads of this, Elsa didn't know how she would face any visiting royals again. "Dear god.... such an act is a direct reflection of my manegerial skills. I suppose this simply means I will have to talk to Ma'am Friga again.what will Chief Haddock think being assaulted his first night here?" Elsa said, sitting down. "Nobody assaulted him, Elsa. And I'm not sure he even thinks anything of it, from how much I know him from yesterday." Rapunzel said sympathetically. As she was trying to figure out how she could do damage repair, she suddenly became very aware of the fact that Rapunzel was studying her closely. She raised an eyebrow. "What now?". "You know, you never told us what you think of Chief Hiccup?" Her cousin said with glittering eyes, Anna sitting up straighter in her chair at her words.

"Hey that's right! You haven't told us!" Anna said.

"Yes I have, I have already told you that I have not formed a good opinion on him yet." Elsa answered with a sigh, ignoring both Rapunzel's and Anna's skeptical looks.

"That is just political mumbojumbo and we all know it! Besides, you do not need to spend an eternity with a man to decide if he is attractive or not." Rapunzel said, smiling as Elsa's eyes snapped to hers with a slightly irritated look."Well, as the two of you seem to have missed, what a man appear to be is not a true picture of his character." Elsa simply said, trying to end the conversation.
At this Anna and Rapunzel caught each other's eye and giggled."Really, Elsa.. you're saying that to me, who's got a bunch of thugs for loving friends back home? ". Elsa tried to find a backlash but she gave up and rolled her eyes. Anna and Rapunzel giggled, knowing that they had won this round."Don't expect me to trust a man simply based on his good looks." Elsa blurted out before she realized what she had said. She turned back and to her dismay, saw Anna and Rapunzel beaming at her with a mischievous glint in their eyes."I'm not sure I heard her correctly, but did my snow queen sister just say that Hiccup has good looks?". Anna asked cheekily. "No, honey. I think she said that he has dashing good looks with gorgeous green eyes. ". Rapunzel said with a teasing tone." I did not say that!", Elsa felt her face growing hot. She stood up and realised that she was blushing. "You two sit here and gossip about unimportant things. I'm going to have a bath!". She picked up her towel and stormed off into the bathing room as Anna and Rapunzel gave each other smirks.
