The days that followed after the first day of the wedding were filled with lavish feats and tournaments to celebrate the union of Fishlegs and Ruffnut. There was also a lot of excitement and joy in the air as snoggletalk was fast approaching. Children were playing in the snow covered land as other complained that the snow made their toes freeze off. To the visitors, namely Elsa, Rapunzel and Eugene, Berk looked completely different and whitewashed . The strong smell if warm chocolate that Hiccup had imported wafted through the air , filling everyone with a soothing aura . The pitter patter of luttle children running around and playing flung a sense of calm and stillness that Elsa hadnt felt her whole life in Arendelle. Four feet thick snow covered the landscape and not a spot of land was missed. The vast sea had frozen in chunks and it's emrald frothy waters were now covered with ice slabs and ice harvesters trying to catch produce to trade

After that first night, neither Hiccup or Elsa managed to get a moment alone, but then again they weren't trying to sneak away either. And since yesterday, when he did try and get some time with her, she outright refused him with a warm smile before she began chatting and giggling with Rapunzel. This was a strange behavior that had started after the wedding day when she got a letter from her sister in Arendelle. She refused to share it's contents with Hiccup and after a few failed attempts, he had learnt to just drop the matter. Mabye it was something that didn't concern him. When he ate with just her, Rapunzel and Eugene, he saw that their strange behavior seemed to be bothering Eugene as well as he sent him confused glances and shrugs from next to him.

He and Elsa didn't move forward in their relationship either without Hiccup confronting Astrid about her betrayal. Hiccup had also wanted to clisr his feelings for Asteid and didn't want to build false hope for his best friend, as his cruah on her had died diwn a long tine ago. He couldn't believe how strained love and affection had made his realtionship with his best friend. It had come as a shock to him that Astrid had a crush on him back when they were fifteen. Thinking back, he remembered how harsh and rude she had suddenly become , almost completely ignoring him. He had thought that she hated him but she actually felt the exact opposite. Mabye she was afraid that they would have lost their precious friendship. Mabye it was her way to distancing herself from him and running away from her confused feelings. That clearly didn't work out as she seemed extra close to him since they returned from Arendelle. And here he was, thinking he had understood women. So they had decided to not move any further in their relationship until he had sorted things out with Astrid. This didn't mean they had avoided each other either. When they got the chance, Hiccup and Elsa would sit next to each other and, at times, they would look at each other for prolonged seconds with eyes holding the affection they refused to let out into the open. Though they hoped none of the others noticed, it was clear they couldn't fool either Valka, Gobber or Heather, who didn't help Hiccup as she kept teasing him.

When Fishlegs pleaded with Elsa everytime they met to teach then the waltz so that they could dance for the snoggletalk celebration which was on the next day, Elsa had given in and agreed after some time. Eret had offered to assist her when she needed to show the Vikings a move that could only be done with a partner . While most of the Vikings teased him about taking the opportunities to get close to her, she was simply extremely grateful. Elsa had spoken to him about her and Hiccup's situation and he had been a happy support to her, though she had caught Hiccup glaring at him with an irritated look everytime he saw them dance together. She smiled at the thought of him getting protective of her.
Eret had told her that Heather had tokd him of their predicament and he understood why they had chosen to keep a distance to each other at the moment and, thanks to his knowledge of their secret, he and Elsa had gotten closer as friends. He was someone she could talk to and joke around with as he was on almost the same level of comebacks as Hiccup was , often with the result of a sour look from Hiccup's direction. Not that she cared, it was good to have someone to confine in.
