Mectro High started once again after closing for Summer vacation. The parking lot and school entrance was filled with students trying to catch up on what they'd missed within the 3 months they were away from one another. A lone figure passed through everyone heading straight towards the School not stopping to even say a 'Hi' to anyone.

Derek was unaware of the many stares and admires he was getting or rather he was trying to act that way as if he noticed nothing. Few of his classmates stopped him to fist bump or say hello but he just walked passed them as usual. He stopped midway when he noticed Caroline by the school entrance door. When their eyes met she soon turned away and fled inside. Adjusting his bag over his shoulder and hands in his jean pocket he started walking once again trying to remember why he had to repeat high school again. That's right, I'm a vampire and don't age so I have to attend High school like all other regular 17 year olds cause my stupid Mom wants me too...

Suddenly he crashed into someone. "Ouch... I'm sooo so sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you. It's totally my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going". The voice of a girl was heard beside him. For the first time Derek had this strange urge to look at the person talking. Usually he would just shake his head, ignore and walk away but this time he felt like he couldn't just walk away.

Grabbing his fallen bag, he looked at who it was in front of him kneeling down on the ground. Extending his hand he helped her up and she looked at his face for the first time a slight gasp escaping her lips. She had the same expression any girl would when they come face to face with him. What's with this guy? He looks too perfect. Oh my god. Is he even real? Weird thoughts kept springing into her mind. She had green clever cat like eyes with long eye lashes, Long brown hair in tendrils just above her waist. She was wearing a purple slip-on dress which came to her knees and a matching jacket to cover her exposed shoulders.

Derek had seen much more beautiful girls during his life but for some reason he just couldn't take his eyes away from her. He started having a strange feeling. A vibe he always got when he knew something bad was about to happen. Damn you Derek, just walk away, but he couldn't. Her soft pink lip glossed lips were parted slightly as if wanting to say something but then she stopped herself. The same action repeated once again.

"What is it? It's obvious your trying to say something" he looked at her intently with his golden eyes. This was the first time she had heard his voice but she felt like she wanted to hear it over and over again. Why do I feel this way? She was desperate to walk away but she realized she couldn't move an inch from where she was standing.

"Well.. you see, I don't know why I'm saying this but Your damn handsome than any other guy I've met before. Are you sure you're not a fallen Angel from Heaven? You're just too perfect to be human." saying so she quickly looked the other way embarrassed for saying something so mushy and cliche right on the first time they met. She just couldn't stop herself from saying it out loud. Never in her life had she seen a guy as good looking as the one standing in front of her. When she got no response she looked up at him to see if he had an expression which screamed Your-annoying-go-to-hell or if he was about to laugh but what she saw made her heart skip a beat. The unknown guy smiled at her and damn he looked even more good looking. She never thought a single smile from someone would make her feel the way she was feeling now. She felt her chest squeeze tight.

"Thank you very much for the compliment" This was the very first time he had ever thanked someone for praising or complimenting him for his looks. By now he was totally used to it. He himself was surprised to hear what he said. Why did I thank her?

"Umm... I have to go. Once again I'm really sorry for bumping into you" and she soon rushed passed him before he could even reply. Something was not right. Looking at the strange guy She felt something weird. Derek knew every single student, Teacher even the janitors in his school and never before had he ever seen her. "Hmm.. she must be a new transfer student." Derek found himself unable to take his eyes off of her. He followed her movements. Before she entered the school she turned back to see if he was looking and found him staring back at her, blushing she soon walked in and plunged into the crowd that clogged the hallway. When she had turned and their eyes met, Derek suddenly got this uneasy feeling within him. something which had not happened before. A strange desire he hardly understood seemed to buzz in his blood. God... you've got to pull yourself together. Don't care about anyone. Don't get too close...
