Chapter 7

Once Derek and Caroline entered an empty classroom down the hall away from the cafeteria he closed the door and turned and looked at her.

"Is something bothering you? Why did you want to see me?"

Even though she had come to him ready to ask him some questions she looked uncertain and slightly afraid. He frowned at her.

"Well you see..umm.. I wanted to know, That night when we met coincidently by the Oak tree.. what happened? Serena said you found me passed out there but I'm certain we spoke to each other. My memory is in bits and pieces for some reason. I can't clearly remember. What happened Derek?" She looked up at him fearful and doubtful.

I should have known this would happen. without feeding on human blood my compulsion power has gotten weak.she's starting to gain her lost memories.so troublesome.And locked insidethis room with just us I'm tempted to feed on her...Damn it!

He took a step towards her and she took one step back. He stopped midway and just stared at her. "well what Serena said is true. I did find you by the Old Oak tree in town. you were on the ground passed out and I carried you to your friends place." but she shook her head furiously.

"NO No... thats not what happened. I'm sure of it. I just simply am not able to remember. I know we spoke to each other and then you moved closer and said something about my scent and... Shit, That's all I remember, the rest is all bleary." when she looked up she saw Him standing right in front of her. she quickle tried to move back and tripped over her own leg. Derek soon caught her by the waist and made her steady on foot. He kept watching her closely and she found herself not able to look away.

"Are you afraid of me Caroline?"

"No. not at all. I actually really like you Derek. I'm just confused"

"You wanna run away from me and keep a distance?" to which she shook her head.

His grip tightened around her waist and he pulled her closer to him, lowering his head to her face and then to her neck. she didn't move an inch and kept silent. Moving her hair out of the way he stared at her exposed neck now. He started getting a tingling within his mouth. H e knew his fangs were gonna break out any time now. Lowering his head even more he slightly licked the side of her neck and Caroline let out a soft mourn. His usual golden lens had turned Bloodlust Red now. His grip tightened even more on her. "I'm sorry to do this Caroline. you leave me no choice." He lowered his lips to her neck his fangs barely touching her naked neck and a speck of blood was to be seen.

When suddenly the classroom door bangs open

"What's going on here?" one of the student asked. Since Derek was standing in front of Caroline she was completely hidden from the other kid's sight. he wasn't able to clearly see what was happening. Caroline stood shaken unaware of what was exactly going on. Derek soon grabbed her by the arm and started dragging her out. "Sorry about that. we'll leave now" saying so he quickly dashed out pulling her with him.

"Hey wait. Aren't you that guy from year 2 class 1? Derek Ryder?" just nodding and not turning around he just walked off quickning his pace. Caroline slightly staggered but kept to his pace. once they were away from that guy's sight and other close by students Derek took her to the nearby janitor's closet and locked the door after him with her inside as well.

"D-Derek.. what's going on? y-your face.. It's changed." fear was clearly written all over her face. "Let me go. RIGHT NOW!". H e pushed her to the wall with both his hands to the side of her. he looked damn pissed.

"It's all cuz of you damn it. I lost control once again is all cuz of you! why do you keep bothering me?" she just stared back at him dumbfound and confused. sighing he looked at her holding her by the chin and making her look at him directly in the eye. His lens had turned back to its original color.

"Forget what ever that had happened on that day by the Oak tree and todays inside the classroom. Forget that you ever saw me today. consider me someone dangerous and never take a step close to me ever again." Once again he compelled her and soon let her out of the closet and quickly walked away. she stood there for a while and then looked around. "wonder what I'm doing here. oh well, time to go look for the others" and she walked off heading towards the cafeteria, clearly forgotten of what ever that had happened.

It won't hold for long. I better get Mom to compel her or my life as a Student is officially over

"And now more than ever I don't want that to happen. Not until I find out more about Saera Forbes. but for now I better head home half day and get Mom to call school saying I'm sick. These stupid fangs are resisting to go inside"

And just like that he left school unnoticed and unreported.
