Chapter 5

It's been a week since school started and he saw that new strange girl. Afterwards he never even caught a glimpse of her, in or out of school. Frequently he had found himself looking around to find her. Frustrated he started pulling his hair hard, Why the hell do I even care? who the hell is she? why do I keep looking for her? Shit...

Walking on the hallway he saw a group of his classmates by the lockers, so he thought of asking them if they had seen her. And there he was a guy who never spoke to a single soul in his class actually on his way to ask them about some girl he shouldn't even be bothered about. He was certain that he was going crazy.

"Hey" He stopped in front of them, hands in pocket looking at them with a bored expression. They stared at him as if seeing him for the first time and then turned around to see if he was talking to them or someone else. 

 "Uh... hey Derek"

 "Sup man"

One of them came forward and stared at him closely which started making Derek feel uneasy. "You okay man? something wrong?if you need directions to the nurse's office we'd be glad to walk there with you" this time it was Derek's turn to stare at him surprised

"Kevin.. Dude that's not the way you talk ass-hole" Kevin didn't look offended, he just shrugged."What can I say?I'm surprised he's talking to us, I mean this is our second year in high school and I've never seen this guy speak to anyone, let alone us. He always just keeps to himself or talks to the walls." Derek looked at them slightly embarrassed. He had a point there. even now he was still wondering why he was talking to them.

"Yah I get what you mean, so it's cool. I guess that's how I've been" saying so he tried punching Kevin in a friendly manner on the shoulder which was totally out of his way. This surprised them even more and he started looking annoyed. 

"Okay look, just cuz I don't talk to anyone doesn't mean I don't know how to. So would your'll please stop acting as if I've fallen from the moon". He shoved one of his hand into his pocket and ran his hand through his messy hair with the other.

"Cool cool, sorry for the stares man. so what did you want Derek? wanna just hang out with us before heading to class?" Kevin asked him smiling to which Derek shook his head. 

"well no, I was kinda wondering if you guys would help me find this girl in school", As soon as he said this every one of them looked at him clearly not expecting this from him.

"WHAAAAAAAT???" they made such a noise and all the kids nearby stopped to see what all the noise was about apart from the already admiring fangirls who were already watching him. Annoyed and fed up Derek turned to leave. 

"sorry for the bother, I give up"

"No no, hold on dude. we'll help you" and they blocked his path. "So what does she look like? what's her name? which year?" They started asking question over question from him about this mysterious girl who had caught the eye of the loneliest loner of their school. "I have no idea, that's why I'm asking your'll for help.""Is she someone from our school?" Asked Kevin and He nodded, "Yeah, though I think she's a new transfer student. I've never seen her before"The guys started thinking for a while, since it was a transfer student they knew it wasn't hard to figure out as there was not many."Hmm... a blonde chick joined recently. I've got History with her." Kevin looked at Derek but he shook his head. "Not her, the one I'm looking for is a brunette, Damn I just hate being amongst people, especially females as they are so annoying , but for some reason I feel drawn towards this girl. There's something strange about her.. Urghhh.. This is so frustrating''
