Chapter 18

Crawford drove to this small store near the beach. They got out and walked in.
"What are we doing?" Jasmine asked as she walked around. "We are gonna buy you your first penny board" Crawford said making her laugh.
He grabbed her hand and dragged her to a different aisle.
He took her to where blue penny boards were at.
She ended up choosing a turquoise one that had black wheels.
She was gonna pay for it but Crawford wouldn't let her no matter how many times she tried so she gave in.
After they paid for it, they went back to the car so Crawford could take his penny board out. "Ok now that you have one, I'm gonna have to teach you how to ride one" Crawford said making Jasmine smile.
He got onto his board and rode it around the parking lot as Jasmine watched.
He stopped in front of her.
"Cmon get on yours it's your turn" Crawford said.
Jasmine put hers down and got on.
She almost fell but Crawford grabbed her. "Don't worry I got you" Crawford said as he winked at her.
She blushed and looked down.
After about a few minutes, she finally got used to it.
Crawford let her go. She felt free.
She rode all around the parking lot and came back to him. He smiled at her and got into his penny board.
"Follow me I wanna show you something" Crawford said as he held out his hand for her. She took it happily.
They rode all the way to this fair.
They got off their penny boards and looked around.
"Let's go on the Ferris wheel" Crawford said. Before Jasmine could say anything, he grabbed her hand and she followed him.
They waited in line. "Crawf I don't think this is a good idea" Jasmine said.
Did he not remember that she was terrified of heights?
"Jasmine, trust me" Crawford said giving her a reassuring smile. She felt a little relieved.
It was their turn to get on. Crawford got on first and then pulled her in with him.
As soon as they were strapped in, the ride started moving.
Jasmine held onto the bars so tight her knuckles turned white.
"Hey hey" Crawford said as he took Jasmine's hands off the bars and held her hands in his. "Look at me ok? Don't look down" Crawford said. Jasmine kept her eyes closed.
"Jasmine please?" Crawford said. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. He smiled as soon as she opened her eyes.
"See? You're ok" Crawford said making Jasmine laugh.
The second time around she let go and just sat back and relaxed.
She rested her head on Crawford's shoulder. He put his arm around her.
This is the happiest I've ever felt. I've started to sing again and now I lost my fear of heights? Crawford is making me change in so many ways. I think I do like him. Jasmine thought as she looked up at him.
They stared at each other for a moment until the ride stopped. It was time for them to get off.
Jasmine got off first and Crawford followed behind her.
"That was a lot of fun. Thanks crawf" Jasmine said as he smiled and nodded. They got onto their penny boards and rode back to Crawford's car. They got into his car and rode home.
On the way there Jasmine decided to check her phone.
She had 20 missed calls from Brent and one text message.
JASMINE DAD WOKE UP WHERE ARE YOU?????
